167: Do I Believe in Fate: Not really?? Like, logically I guess I don’t. I always think it’s cute though when couples are like “It was fate that I met my husband randomly in a coffee shop that day” like idk I think that’s cute, but I don’t necessarily believe it. Though you know, I especially don’t like it when people use “fate” as a way to like…excuse shit?? Like when my mom says that there’s a reason why I didn’t get into all those other colleges that I wanted, and it was because I was meant to go to this school instead. Like…that pisses me off. I guess I just don’t think there’s always necessarily a “reason” why something happened. Like, yeah, the system screwed me over when it came to colleges. That’s it. There’s no reason behind it, it’s just what ended up happening. Sometimes shit just happens for no reason, and idk people can believe in fate if they want but I really don’t. 

Wow, that got really long and ranty. Sorry. 

141: White Chocolate or Milk Chocolate: MILK CHOCOLATE. ALWAYS. I actually can’t stand white chocolate, I think it tastes gross. And milk chocolate is like one of my favorite things eVER, so yeah, this isn’t really much of a contest lol 

113: Here’s What I Think About Ebay: I’ve never actually used it?? I mean I know it’s popular but I always use Amazon when I shop online so I don’t really have an opinion of Ebay?? I’m always a little wary when it comes to buying stuff from random people online, though, so the whole concept of Ebay seems a bit sketchy to me. 

37: My Favorite Candy: I'm just going to choose from non-chocolate things, because otherwise my answer would be "anything with chocolate in it" haha. So discounting chocolate, I'd have to say it's a tie between Jolly Ranchers and Swedish Fish, both of which I could eat for hours without stopping.

top 5 phineas and ferb episodes of 2013!! (alternatively, if you've gotten that already, top 5 perryschmirtz moments of 2013)

oh!!!!

so top doof/perry moments:

handholding + helping doof get his confidence back in "fly on the wall"

handholding at niagara falls in "sidetracked"

handholding + saving each other's lives over and over and over and over and over again in "primal perry" 

treasure hunts in "druselsteinoween"!!!

perry and doof getting high on sugar in "just desserts"

and then longer episode picks below the cut!

"my sweet ride." this show and the 1950s aesthetic go together perfectly anyway, but this episode also used that conceit as a way to touch on soviet-era eastern european politics! the only roadsters doof had in his childhood were reconfigured war tanks! the music in this episode was fantastic, and it managed to get a ton of characters together and push some new overarching plots along, mostly the vanessa/monty/carl arc, which wouldn't have direct payoff until "thanks but no thanks." it's got everything: weird doofenshmirtz family dynamics, lawrence being lawrence, candace/jeremy, roller skates, the phrase "daddy-o." perfect, i say.

"sidetracked." ahhhhhh!!! really shook up the standard for owca missions, and lyla and bannister were great new characters. it was one of perry's best episodes to date because it was all about him and his growth and his sheer badassery. (that motorcycle chase will live in infamy.) canada jokes! the subtle emotional timbre to the whole episode is what makes it really great, though--perry learning to trust someone other than himself, doof revealing some very heavy insecurities about perry leaving him, peter coming to the rescue and wrapping up the seattle arc, that beautiful ocean's eleven tribute that perfectly showcases both the camraderie between them and doof's isolation, and perry reuniting with his family at the end!!! utterly flawless. 

"primal perry." PERRY + DOOF BEING BEAUTIFUL TOGETHER. hilarity. stephen. baljeet taking a stand against buford because alternate dimensions will vary but baljeet always has enough self-respect to try to balance their relationship. handholding. stopping to smell the roses. i can't. i won't.

"happy birthday, isabella." UTTERLY FLAWLESS. nuanced advancement of phineas/isabella, I LOVE IT. and such great group dynamics here, too. AND ONLY THE BIGGEST PLOT TWIST IN THE WHOLE SERIES. STACY. AHHHHHHH, i won't ever be over it. 

and then it's maybe a three-way tie: "druselsteinoween" because it was great and all the characters were in it and treasure hunts and cuteness; "face your fears" because it might be one of the most hilarious episodes in the show (IRISH ROVER); and "mission marvel" because it's "mission marvel."

OKAY I'VE READ THE SERIES BUT TELL ME ABOUT KATHLEEN "KITTY (queen of my life)" JONES. I LOVE HER FOR A MULTITUDE OF REASONS I AM NOT ELOQUENT ENOUGH TO TYPE OUT. But I am interested as to why you love Kitty Jones! Please tell me why? (:

I love, love, love Kitty because she’s such a grade-A badass but also because she’s so flawed—both in her worldview and in the way she treats other people. She deals with the tension between her and her parents and Jakob by avoiding them altogether; she’s not good at reasoning her problems out or talking about them—she wants to act, and that’s one of the reasons she’s quick to accept Pennyfeather’s offer. Over the course of the series, she learns to be patient, to take the time to understand the issues she wants to change. She reaches her limit with the Westminster Abbey raid; that’s as far as she can go on that path, and she alters course and finds a way to start over. She learns to empathize with spirits (and magicians, eventually) because she’s willing to abandon her prejudices and shape herself into a better person. AND SHE GOES INTO THE OTHER PLACE, SHE REACHES OUT TO BARTIMAEUS WHEN HE IS AT THE END OF HIS ROPE, WHEN HE IS SO CLOSE TO WANTING TO DIE BECAUSE HE’S JUST BEEN SO ABUSED AND WORN RAGGED. He clings to his hatred of humans to try to block out the pain they’ve caused him (which is always worse when it’s caused by someone he cares about), and through all of that, Kitty just reaches out and lets him know that she hears him. That’s all it takes. She starts a revolution through her compassion. She becomes a mortal, a magician, and a spirit. She bridges the gaps between every world, and just by CROSSING those barriers, she proves that they never existed. 

She’s so so so great, oh my God.

So, I have started watching Green Lantern: The Animated Series (a REALLY bad choice because I've an important history test to prepare for but w/e w/e) and I have irrevocably fallen in love with it. I can sense the breaking of my heart after these few episodes, though, and when it finally does, IT WILL BE YOUR FAULT. also I'm just going to reblog all of the things from your tag hope you don't mind~
