The door to His Radiance's office opens quietly, as if a breeze pushed it open. A haunting thing, as no person passed through the small gap. Or, was it simply just the silly looking cat that wore a silly little striped jacket? Brie recognized his smell - wine. Her whiskers perked as she brushed her face against his ankle, before glancing up at the man. Several small trills, like little "Hello!"s, were directed at him. How the cat had escaped her apartment was unknown. But she wanted the pets.
Varis would not have been surprised had a ghost swept through, really - there were so bloody many of them - but...
He glanced down from the pile of reports he was going over, a ghost of a smile upon his lips. “How kind of you to stop in for a visit,” he said, and bent down to scoop Brie into his lap. Pets were quite freely given, with Varis appearing about as content as the cat he held.
... He’d return her to her apartment later.
