Królewna Kotka (Cat Princess), circa 1928 by Konstanty Laszczka
i love when women have a deeper or raspier voice. its very charming
One part of kingdom hearts I find fascinating that I don't see get talked to often is the way that Keyblades and key culture is a dying art. A giant culture with philosophies and martial artistry and uniforms and this extensive history just slowly got whittled down until there were maybe four masters left and only a handful of students. The second keyblade war could barely count as a blip in the grand scheme of how many keybearers there used to be. Xehanort's desperation to not let go of the past as one of the last traditionally trained masters, the revival of the art by the novice who was never supposed to wield the weapon in the first place, the lonely state of keyblade mastery as a whole... It's very poignant just how much was lost that a culture that once filled an entire planet can now all be accounted for in one room
These two are really funny

The goblin shark had only previously been seen when caught by fishermen and they died shortly afterward.
So this is what a Goblin Shark actually looks like…
I love it
Some people on the internet have takes that are so fucking stupid it makes me want to blow my brains out. 'Theres no transmasc game developers in indie spaces' your skull is empty what the fuck are you talking about. You throw a rock in any gamedev space on social media and youll hit a trans person. Not being able to find trans men in the space is Your Fucking Fault do digging outside of big name indie studios for 5 seconds and youll find plenty. ffs.
In the instance where this poster was referring to specifically Big Name Indie Studios i feel even more crazy bc like. You know indie is a label that applies to Any self published or small studio game, right. Its important to me that you know that.

i made a post like this before but I can't find it now. so. I'll just redo it.
What's the first "big news story" you remember from when you were a kid?
It's something I love to ask mixed-aged groups sometimes because I think it's really interesting to see the responses. I've gotten answers from the Olympics of [whatever year] to Watergate to more recent stuff from my niblings.
My first news thing I remember is the OJ Simpson trial. I vaguely remember watching the news with my grandparents before that, but that's the first story I remember, in part because my second grade teacher had us go play so she could watch the verdict 😂
I remember walking down the street and seeing a sign protesting George W. Bush’s war on Iraq, so I think that.
I don't know about a news story, but my first "political" memory was something about the torture memos
my first political memory is photographs from abu ghraib
