Silly Yearner! Choi Han sounds so fun lol. Especially if the one suffering the most is poor Cale. Don't get me wrong, everyone suffers but it's mostly Cale lmaooo. Choi Han would be like "This is fine. Making sure they are safe is enough for me." And meanwhile Cale, done with this bullshit, is like "OMFG KISS ALREADY!"
I am taking this as permission to ramble about my idea <3
So basically I got hit with the idea of like, our world transmigrated reader who has no clue where they ended up and doesn't particularly care bc they got distracted by ✨m a g i c✨ and has decided to live their whimiscal witch dreams
They are going full blown fantasy witch. With a ridiculously big hat and everything. They are also combining modern day science and magic and creating world breaking nonsense. For the whimsy. They do not have any clue that they are jailbreaking magic though. They think it's common sense
Anyways, then I got hit with the idea of whimiscal witch reader deciding that if they're going to be living their helpful crytpid witch who lives in the woods dreams they obvious need a familiar. And it has to be a cool one. Unique. Eye catching. Which obviously means it has to come from the Forest of Darkness. Which is where they find Choi Han for the first time on their quest to adopt a monster
On Choi Han's part he was pretty sure he hallucinated an angel carrying a baby monster leading him out of the forest and to Harris village because reader left right after
Anyways, later once the gang is all together Cale is investigating reader bc weird magic prodigy that shows up and solves problems and then vanishes who never appeared in the story is Weird only Choi Han's just like "wait. I know them" and so it goes
There'd obviously be the Choi Han yearning while reader just has their head up in the clouds because they're too bust thinking about ✨m a g i c✨ which would drive Cale crazy. But also I imagine like, a little sub plot of Cale trying to sus out if reader is another transmigrator but no, no transmigrator would be That Obvious, right?
(Reader is not trying to hide it at all. Witches are supposed to be weird and kinda nonsensical. And they are now A Witch. So it's fine. Everyone else just has to deal)
Bonus points if reader is also just, really frail like Cale because they pay so much attention to ✨m a g i c✨ that they forget to take care of themselves. Also them "jokingly" swooning over Choi Han because he's such a knight archetype. They're supposed to be swooned over and reader doesn't see any swooning happening! Obviously this means they must do it themself
I imagine that readers just accepts their transmigration and everything they do is in the name of whimsy lmaooo. Would also be super fun if reader was a scientist and/or mathematician (as a believer that our world's magic is science) before they got isekai'd that's why they're so profound at unintentionally jailbreaking magic and mana in general.
Also can you imagine reader living their best cottagecore life in Cale's backyard (Forest of Darkness), not knowing that 1. The creatures don't bother them because being a witch kinda gives them a natural affinity for living beings including monsters and; 2. Cale and co. are going crazy as to why there's some sudden changes in the atmosphere of the forest + Cale wondering who else is messing with the original plot of the novel.
The most natural flow of things imo is for reader to eventually join the gang. Then that's where the yearning (and Cale's headache) all starts. Choi Han literally looks at them as if they've hung the stars and moon. Every magic formula and potion they make, Choi Han acts as if it's a gift from god. Don't get me started with his look UGH that kicked puppy look he gives Cale when he feels like he failed at something? Yeah, he's looking at reader like that 25/8.
Ofc his loyalty still lies with his Cale-nim first and foremost. But reader is a very close second. Especially with that glass canon body of theirs. During battles he's looking out for both reader and Cale lmaoo.
Omg imagine poor Choi Han having to carry Cale in his back while also having to princess carry reader.
Anyways, pls stop swooning over Choi Han. He knows reader is joking but he swears he's going to combust if they do it one more time...
...Oh and please please please save Cale from this doomed obnoxious duo. He already has a headache from taking care of his children, he doesn't need to add an oblivious yearner pair to the mix.
