what in the AI is this product description on Matalan's website
"this isn't just a pyjama set; it's the spirit of wearing Star Trek to bed"
"you can practically hear the hum of the warp engines and "Beam me up, Scotty!" as you drift off to sleep."
seeing SFTH with Paul Merton and Suki Webster as guests, and it's almost comical in itself how Merton just doesn't gel with SFTH (except AJ)
I came sheerly for the spectacle of this crossover, and it's amazing how their styles and senses of humour clash
I'm sure part of it is SFTH being a bit awestruck, with Merton guesting on their show rather than SFTH members on his, but it's amazing how 'off' the vibes are
maybe the second half will be better, maybe Merton will smile at anyone who isn't Suki or AJ. but damn it's been a weird one so far
also I'm sorry but most of this audience doesn't realise how iconic the Comedy Store is to British improv, nor how Merton is synonymous with British improv and popularising it (naïve kids that they are. I say at the grand age of 22)
why is pickford gesturing dick sucking
OH HYDRATION BREAK LMAO
This is the best ad for Project Hail Mary I have ever seen. Like if I was on the fence about watching or reading it, this would convince me to do so.
Count Binface is on BBC Newsnight, guys, this is legendary stuff
"What can I offer? I'm not Farage."
what a brilliant speech by Britain's likely next PM. guys I actually teared up when he said there'd be a massive drive for council houses. the sense of hope and ambition Burnham offered was genuinely emotive
it's actually made me feel optimistic about British politics for perhaps the first time in my lifetime. I know he hasn't fleshed the policies out. I know there's no guarantee he can deliver on all the change he wants to. but god, a politician setting out a vision for the future which might actually improve everyone's lives. a vision that people can actually buy into
and he's funny. yeah yeah much of that humour was in a scripted speech, but even so
maybe I'll regret this but guys I'm actually optimistic and quite frankly I just like him (for now...)
this is killing me

Sent to me by a mate on WhatsApp. A quality bit of politics x football crossover trivia.
1986 World Cup - Robert Smith (The Cure) and Stuart Adamson (Big Country)
the only useful "girls guide to the world cup" would be a comprehensive list of which of the players and team members have committed sexual assault and been protected by their teams. bc god knows we won't hear about it otherwise
Do they know they’re separate people
