we get to see Dave's POV after John hangs up and his smile slowly falters as he just stares at his phone
and he goes back to whatever he was doing with a blank facial expression
scene cuts back to John sneaking around the house and everything plays out the same
i think this could give people who don't read Homestuck a hint of Dave's character and what he's really like

A “golden retriever” belonging to a flower girl photographer, Amber ends up revealing herself to actually be an alien in disguise, as is her owner. The two are government agents on their own planet, sent to Earth to investigate strange alien broadcasts, and the two end up assisting the Mystery Gang before returning to their world. Though very friendly with Scooby and Shaggy in particular, any chance of romance sadly fizzles out, as long distance relationships never really work out.
You might not expect it from either of her forms, but Amber is incredibly strong, able to halt mining equipment and bend steel beams with her bare hands! (And to clarify, in the right picture, Amber is the reptilian one on the left)
