just got into phighting and took a look in the wiki and found these

i mean absolutely no hate, but i find it so annoying when Chance was confirmed to be a P.O.C. and so many people started saying "oh but poc doesn't necessarily mean black, he can still be asian !!"

no disrespect to asian people obviously because yes, that is true, but Chance literally draws himself with dreads

they also made his new design have a darker gray (grey..?) skin tone than his older design

again no disrespect but it just sounds like some people don't want to accept the fact that Chance is dark skinned

"they're literally gray" yes, they are, but they can still be black-coded

take Garnet from Steven Universe for example. she's red, but pretty much everyone agrees that if she was a human, she'd be black

"it's not that deep" well to me it is, people don't really say it, but there's a lot of casual racism in this fandom (someone on the dev team literally said the N slur as a white person and didn't get fired)

i saw a post on tiktok about how people were being racist towards someone's Chance cosplay, a cosplay where Chance was black

i saw a tweet of someone calling out some comments under another post they made where Chance was dark skinned, and the comments were saying stuff like "why is it black"

i even saw a comment on pinterest that was just clarifying under a piece of Chance fan art that Chance is a poc and the replies were saying "they're gray btw"

as a black person, seeing this kind of stuff is exhausting, very exhausting
