Wednesday. Man today was a busy day for both of us. We had a drumline and color guard perform during lunch for the WSAC committee. We didn't even get to eat lunch. Then, after school I had to miss practice and go to a choral festival -.- lame huh? Afterwards, I forced Brandon to drive me back to school so I could spend more time with Andy. Even through our little fights, I still love you Andy Vo.

blurb of the day
I have a really bad feeling late night tumbling will soon become a routinely kind of thing as i continually fall faster and faster behind on my already enormous loads of homework. It's only been three days back and i'm already drowning in pre-cal equations and trying to decode ap spanish stories. But i feel like everything flows much more cohesively at night so maybe somehow this is all a good thing. This morning i kept waking up to my alarm to just lean over and reset it for another fifteen minutes, which i did continuously for a good hour. I ran to Mansi's house in the morning and proceeded to run to the book room with Sohab, passing Mrs. Elder's disapproving look, to get our new class book. I have never ran so much before school. Maybe it was because of my endorphin release but i found vocabulary to be so fun today and the book we're reading is actually super interesting. Hopefully i feel like this later! Physics class was actually comprehensible today and i love having random conversations with Julianne and writing out words such as "google" on her calculator in between Mr. Pennington's discussions on protons and electrons. During lunch i went to the NHS meeting (for the first time in ages) and today they were choosing nominees for next year's officers. And somehow i got nominated for historian thanks to Rafa. But secretly that would have been the position i'd choose because the only job is to take attendance hehe. Fashion class was ridiculously difficult yet really enjoyable. And that is a complete contradiction in itself. Missed most of psychology today to go to the track meet at DV. Discus and shot-put could most definitely be my new best friends! The weather was perfectly sunny and the bus ride there and back made me think back to elementary school. Daisy came over to borrow a dress and even though my 5th grade and 8th grade dresses didn't necessarily work, 10th grade definitely did(: And i love creating scenarios for her about how she'll fall in love on prom night and spend the day with him in Santa Cruz and come back to school on a Tuesday to tell me she's in the most amazing relationship. I'm telling you though, my scenarios sometimes turn out right! Now it's currently 11:34 pm and i probably shouldn't even be typing out this really random post but i'm just so tired of being tired and not having time to just write or do something other than homework. How is it possible that i even have this much homework?! I guess it's time to get back to my routinely late night session of endless pages of questions.

It is a sad day indeed.
I cried over this. It's not just about being a fellow Filipino nor is it just about condemning death penalty.
It's about the ones who got left behind. My heart goes out to their families, especially the children. Those children who are about to grow up carrying this memory.
Yes, Chinese government are commendable for having an unshakeable law system. But you cannot simply tell those families that they have to accept the execution of their loved ones because it is what the law says. No person deserves to be sentenced to death regardless of how heinous or petty the crime. I firmly believe in human redemption, second chances and a shot to make things right. And I also want to have faith in humanity's ability to show compassion, to know that we are still capable of forgiveness, that we are not void of emotion. To not just think but more importantly, to feel past written laws.
It is a sad day indeed. Not because I am a Filipino, but because I am human.
