i have never understood the uproar that people have when blacks say something negative about america (like wondering exactly when it was ever great, y'know for everyone.) there's a very complicated relationship that i can only equate to a relationship that involves intimate terrorism, to use a psychological term. there has been the bare minimum done to keep us here and alive, like a partner who provides you food and shelter but otherwise beats you down mentally, emotionally and physically. that's not to say all blacks in america feel this way, but i think at the bare minimum it should be understanding towards those who do...just based off statistics alone they wouldn't be wrong. you don't blame the victim of abuse for having mixed if not downright horrible feelings towards their abuser, its only natural. so why is the response to historically disenfranchised minorities so damn aggressive when they were never afforded the privilege to enjoy the "greatness" of their country as someone else may have been fortunate enough to?
