You know what one of my favorite things on criminal minds is? Occasionally one of the team will ask an expert in something benign to look at something related to the case, I'm currently watching Uncanny Valley (05.12) the episode with the dolls; which made me think of this, and the expert will praise the unsub's work on whatever begin unique thing. And the team member will just get this look like they're going to be sick. Like, "Excuse me, this person murdered X amount of people. Could you maybe not blatantly praise them." But they haven't told the expert what it's about, and they don't know. And it's so fucking funny to me.

[In Uncanny Valley, JJ goes to a tailor to ask them if they would ever sell the dress that the Unsub put the victims in. The seamstress said that the dress was handmade, and whoever made it is an artist. And JJ gets this look like she wants to throw up. timecode 20.50.]
