Just a wee bit of a photo dump from the last week or so! I’ve started making pep batches of combined foods (broccoli and carrot, butternut squash with apple and cinnamon) and I’m loving mixing it up like that. We’ve also introduced him to Greek yogurt. Big fan!
Pep has officially seen his first baseball game, albeit from the living room, he’s getting closer and closer to crawling, he’s getting closer and closer to the kitties, and has been enjoying a new play mat these last few days. Our living room, though.. RIP. I’m glad I got a foldable play mat which makes it super easy to put away at the end of the day.
Food highlight: we did flank steak the other night with my first attempt at chimichurri. It was amaaaaazing.
Mental health-wise, I’ve been struggling big time lately. I think I’m making it out of the thickest of the fog, but I haven’t quite hit a consistent stride of feeling good yet. I feel like since having pep, I haven’t quite rediscovered who I am yet. I’m floundering. I can’t believe it’s September 1st. For me, it’s a wake up call that enough time has passed now that I have to get myself into gear, get those positive habits back into my life, and focus on my health more seriously. I don’t even want to know what I weigh anymore.. physically, I feel gross. Something’s gotta give. More fitblr-esque posts to come? I truly hope so. That’s the plan.
