Been questioning if I numb my feelings lately
I mostly think I’m fine in general
But at the same time
Some tiny thing can bring this endless sorrow over me
Flooding tears out my eyes

It vanishes again

And in just seconds I’m right back to feeling fine
Sometimes it makes me feel so broken
But it just shows me what made me what I am
Sometimes I question if I'll ever be done processing those feelings
Or if I'll just deal with them accompanying me throughout my life
Deal with them punching me in the throat from time to time
Often with absolutely no forewarning
Just out of the blue
Almost forgotten
Those feelings are rotten
And yes
The pain it hurts
But even worse
It brings me anger
Makes me rage
With no one deserving to be the receiver
Makes me a believer
That I myself just cause the pain
I'm at fault for my own feelings
And not their fault to make me feel
They didn't mean to drive me up the ceiling
Still doesn't change the fact they did
Those are feelings that I hid
Slow cooking under a lid
A cursed potion brewing sickness
Sticky with a slimy thickness
Makes me feel unclean
Breaks my mask open at the seam
Torn up pieces of my façade
Reveal what's left behind
Am I what's broken on the ground
or what emerged from down below
Lines are blurred between the two
