Sorry

"I'm sorry that I let you go.  I'm sorry that I cared. " I shouldn't have done either. I knew better. But I just couldn't help it. I wanted you and wanted your heart safe, but I couldn't have both. Sadly, now I have neither. "I'm sorry that the feeling shows,  but I just wasn't there." Im sorry that the distance became more real.  That the bridge between two hearts was never tended to.  I'm sorry that we are  separated by the river of words we never spoke.  "I'm reminded of the fool I was: I cut you off and fucked it up again.  I'm sorry that I let you go. I'm sorry that I cared." But it's funny... The more you say sorry, the less sincere it sounds.
