I’m half tempted to try the 10,000 Calorie Challenge sometime. Maybe after I’ve exceeded my next fitness goal.
I found Maxx Chewning’s challenge video via a Bodybuilding.com article, and it surprised me how much junk food he pounded down. At the end of his 10,000 calorie day (10,012 to be exact), his macros looked like this:
Fat: 445g
Carbs: 1249.6g
Protein: 271g
Meanwhile, after lunch today, I’m sitting on 1514 calories so far (a bit higher than usual), with the following macro breakdown:
Fat: 37g
Carbs: 90g
Protein: 207g
My protein count is also up because of some protein shakes. But it’s no wonder Chewning felt like crap with all the sugary stuff he pounded down. Bags of gummy bears? Ugh. Just the thought of it is nauseating.
Congrats to him on finishing the challenge. That’s a hell of a lot of food, and I’m not sure I could do it. However, I think I’d work a lot harder to keep my protein count up through more meats (sadly, more $$$) and protein shakes. My biggest carb and fat hit would probably come via pizza, which would be my go-to calorie bomb.
