#100daysofselfies That's a wrap. Tried to capture the sunset and my face but alas, one had to take precedence. The question I pose to you and myself is, "what emotions and actions get precedence in my life?" For those that tagged along on this journey, thank you, I love you and I promise to continue sharing wholeheartedly as I grow my #EnjoyingBeing.
On day #99 of #100daysofselfies I'm rather proud of myself on this journey of #EnjoyingBeing. Practice makes permenent (that deserves a hashtag). It is wonderful to live in a world where you do not allow the circumstances of life to drain you - long lines at the store, slow traffic, crabby people, and on and on. I did not wake up like this, and some days I am still drained, but I am so much better at releasing myself from even going down that road and yes, it feels good. I've paid attention to the lessons allowed by God and I've practiced.
Emotional resistance is a(n) *explative*. Just couldn't find a vegie curse to properly fit there. Though frustrated over my lack of clarity, I am hopeful because I have tools that I've gathered on my journey to help me grow through this challenge. Our emotions are there to signal us, not control us; to nudge us so that we know there is something we need to grow through. It's often very sweet on the other side, but if we don't grasp and practice the lesson, the challenge will be back to help us again and again. Growth only happens with resistance. Day 93/#100daysofselfies. I don't always feel comfortable accepting gifts, even something simple. Yet, I love creating and giving unique-to-the-receiver gifts. It is not 'being humble' when we deny people their expression of love or appreciation. And I have a sneaking feeling that it blocks other blessings in my life. I've grown to be gracious and accepting of compliments and are they not also gifts? I am admittedly uncomfortable with my own need, strange as it may sound (unless you read Brene Brown). So I am allowing myself to grow through the discomfort and become a gracious acceptor of gifts. The smile your see came after my realization. #EnjoyingBeing #loveisnotpie #lovesharedislovemultiplied
Time sure flies when you're havin' fun. 91/#100daysofselfies. It has been an experience spending more time looking at me. It has been a great way to connect the inner work I've been doing for some years to the outer view of me. I don't do much makeup and can do my hair with only a couple glances in the mirror so this has been a path of self love that I don't walk often. It has been a beneficial walk. #EnjoyingBeing
