There are a lot of tips and tricks when it comes to internet marketing! Internet Marketing can be a little overwhelming BUT luckily there are a TON of resources at your disposal!
HubSpot listed 30 tips and tricks to internet marketing. I thought 30 could be a bit overwhelming! So I condensed it what I think are the top 10.
1. Audience Targeting in Facebook Advertisements – Audience Targeting is just want it sounds like! Targeting to the ONLY the people that you want to reach. Facebook allows you to tailor your audience, now you’re not wasting money on ads that are going to people that aren’t even your target audience.
2. Social Media Publishing Tools - It's wonderful to be able to actually enjoy your time off as a social media manager -- and social publishing tools let you do that. More specifically there is HubSpot’s social media publishing tool – not only does it allow you to schedule text updates but it also allows you to schedule image updates too! That could mean less time at the computer but you’re not missing out on engagement!
3. Twitter Hashtags – Twitter Hashtags allow you to monitor the conversation about your company, simply by clicking on the hashtag! There is no need to create yet another handle for events, simply create a hashtag and monitor and track the discussion!
4. CreativeCommons – This is a place that allows you to search for photos that are free and are allowed to be used commercially!! All you have to do is give the artist credit! It’s that simple to get free photos.
5. Free Site Crawl Tools – “That's why free tools like Xenu and Screaming Frog are fantastic; they crawl your entire site, and spit out a spreadsheet of all the pages, URLs, and broken links on your site. It's a content or SEO auditor's dream.”
6. YouTube Analytics – Marketers can measure the effectiveness of their videos! They can look at metrics like drop-off time and engagement this will help you decide which videos resonate most with viewers, the ideal length for your videos, and what content within the videos is most engaging.
7. Dropbox – This helps marketers share big files from one person to another. (Big files are common when doing any kind of design work). Another plus to Dropbox? You can access, edit and save from anywhere!
8. CRM – CRMs help close the loop in marketing analytics, helps organize leads, and helps the sales team be more efficient.
9. Webinars - Webinars are an amazing informational resource! You get to hear from the experts without having to leave the comfort of your home. Think of all that time you will be saving – let alone all the money.
