I wonder what would happen if the Maestro from Doctor Who, who is music incarnate, knew about microtones. Like, if they saw this—

I've been listening to microtonal music for a long time, well damn, it sounds.. It's so strange, unusual, out of tune, and beautiful, rather than traditional music (my favorites are 31 edo) Microtonal music has many different notes, signs, sounds, chords, intervals, sequences, isn't it wonderful? It also makes me feel a certain way, which traditional music has never done for me. but still, it upsets me that it's not easy for me to find microtonal music now. in solfeggio, we don't cover this, so I have to find theories, stories, and microtonal music on my own. However, when I listen to microtonal music with people, they say it sounds bad and strange. They say I have a terrible and disgusting taste in music. A4= 440 Hz or C4= 261.63 Hz to align with standard pitch conventions. It divides the octave into 31 equal steps of approximately 38.7 cents each, often using a 0 or 1 step to define the starting frequency
Like 12 edo, 31 edo is often tuned so that the 31st step (the octave) is exactly double the frequency of the starting pitch (f×2), frequently using A4= 440Hz
Some systems may anchor to C4= 261.63 Hz
In this tuning, 31 steps (1200 cents) represent the octave, while 18 steps are roughly a perfect fifth (696.77 cents) and 10 steps are roughly a major third (387.1 cents)
Bcse,,, it is an equal temperament, any pitch can be chosen as the anchor, but 440 Hz is the standard starting point for mapping :P
