the great thing about being a watsonian analysis vegetable farming deangirl(gn) is that i see a LOT of wild rabbits. like. A LOT.

and let me tell you, they would not just be snuffling happily next to a person. in fact, they are literally prone to being scared. to death!

and if i was silly and did doylist analysis, i might say something like, "well obviously they used a domesticated rabbit actor who is not scared of people in general."

but because i am smart and do not do such silly sad reductive things, i can say that a wild rabbit, the prey-ed-est amongst the prey animals, felt so safe with dean that it let him pick it up.

that rabbit was telling dean everything cas said in 15.18, they just didn't dub it over. you're not a hunter. you're not a weapon. you are just chock full of love.
