As the camera transitions from a skull resembling the Twelfth Doctor to a close-up of the Doctor's head:
An emperor asks a shepherd's boy, "How many seconds in eternity?"
And the shepherd's boy says, "There's this mountain of pure diamond. It takes an hour to climb it, and an hour to go around it. Every hundred years, a little bird comes and sharpens its beak on the diamond mountain. And when the entire mountain is chiseled away, the first second of eternity will have passed!!!"
Ah, this piece took me half a month or sth, so I think it deserves a proper long blog to celebrate the Heaven Sent 10th Anniversary.
Personally, I think the concept discussed in this episode is strangely similar to the pitch drop experiment. That's where the name of this piece from.
Also, I love "The Shepherd's Boy".
