SPINATHON is now done and dusted. I had an Amazing day. We’ve managed to raise R 44k. A BIG THANK YOU to all the sponsors and all vouchers that were generously donated to us. To our partners they all generously donated their time and skills to make this day happen. Wow to all riders they all came on time for their rides and a Big Thank You to all the volunteers and colleagues, You guys ROCK!!! I stayed on my bike for a solid 11hrs45mins, 2 bathroom breaks. I tried to keep a consistent speed but I also had severe cramps at the base of my right foot and at one stage I really wanted to call it quits but I persevered. Initially I was quite happy to interact with the MC and he is a Dj @Platinumgoldradio but when I was in pain I wished he wouldn’t come to talk to me. He is a professional MC and I think he saw my expression on my face and handled it well. The last 10 minutes I sprinted with pain and all trying my best to reach my 420 kms but ended up on 416 kms. I’m happy with that! The day is almost here. About 12 hours to go after Weeks of preparation, training after training dealing with all sorts of challenges. It’s going to be a hot day, some people are saying it’s a heatwave so that’s another thing to deal with. Anyway it’s a done deal we have to go through it. Reading says 2hrs 44mins but I actually did 3 hours, my first training for my 12 hour SPINATHON. I was trying to adjust the loose screen on the bike and I accidentally deleted the first 15mins. I was going at an average speed 95 rpm so the total kms is about 105 kms in 3 hours.
