Drarry microfic: Bullet

I found an abandoned draft for this June, 2021 prompt in my gdocs today and decided that it's not so bad, after all. Never too late, I guess!

“So, if you had a gun with only one bullet, who would you save it for?”

Draco stops to give Harry an incredulous look. “Is that the sort of question you normally ask on first dates? Or do you usually wait for the second or third one to bring up murder, and you’re making an exception for me?”

Harry laughs and tugs Draco forward by the wrist so that they don’t block the cinema exit. When they’re out on the pavement, which is still radiating heat from the sweltering summer day, he laces their buttery fingers together.

“I’m just making conversation, honestly, Draco.”

After thinking it over, Draco answers, “Unlike that Jack Sparrow bloke, I don’t think I’m the vengeful type. Anyway, the true hero of the story already vanquished all my enemies.”

“Well, he had a lot of help,” Harry says modestly.

Black mirror seas 3 ep 5

This one is about this army group who go and kill these things weird things called roaches. They go and try to save this little village from them. The go to a building and find a lot of them. The main guy gets this might shawn in his face, it’s messes him up for a while till he sees roaches and realized that they aren’t the ugly creature everyone sees them as, they just humans like the rest of them but everyone hypnotized and can’t see it. He then gets found after hitting his teammate and she takes him back and contains him. He then finds out the truth of everyone and is stuck in an eternal world of sadness but he doesn’t realize it. This episode wasn’t very interesting to me till the very end. Watch it tho.

Loneliness

The room sprawled out into something more of an auditorium, rows of bleak chairs and white walls framing the abundant space. The stage was not raised, instead the curtains were pulled back across a stage at the same level as the audience.

He faced the chairs as if they were people, eyes watching and ears listening.

He had worked his hardest to memorize lines, improve his acting, and make his performance perfect.

And he performed.

Alone on the stage, with no spectators but the chairs. No one with him.

He paused.

Something was missing. The actor ignored it and continued, finishing the show with a masterful flourish. He walked off the stage evenly.

And nothing happened after that.

No reviews published, no books written. No inspired children walked off filled with dreams.

It ended there.
