Day 12 of 152 “The Complete Diary”

After working all weekend at Possums Revenge I got home late Sunday and as always proceeded to crash. It was the combination of both exhaustion from a week’s work, lack of sleep but also the mental dump I get from race directing.

One of the worst parts about long distance relationships is when your significant other is struggling through a problem, and you can only help so much as to talk through the phone...you can't be there for them in person -- you can't hold them, you can't kiss them, you can't hold their hand or rub their back, you can't even be there to assist with chores while they're otherwise busy working through their problem. The worst feeling is helplessness, knowing you can only be there so much as through a phone because miles hold you back.

I hate it, and I cannot wait until the miles no longer exist, and I am there in person to help him out whenever he needs me...I love you, babe. No matter what.

I don't regret staying up really late talking to you and cuddling and laughing last night. Even though I'm already exhausted and do not want to do any homework today, it was worth it. Just like it will be worth it to survive these next five months in order to be with you and be able to have nights like last night over and over again. I love you, babe...with all my heart.
