I am here, I live here now, my happy place
Dear Michael,
17 years is such a long time - yet you're still so impactful, so important in the world today. With the Michael movie breaking records everywhere to your songs taking on new causes and being ever more insightful and relatable in the world today, it's safe to say that you legacy is still growing, still thriving, with new generations discovering and loving you every day.
I have so much love for you, and I know that so many others have so much more even than I do, and I hope that wherever you are, you can feel that. Some have borderline godly worship for you, and whilst I do think that your music and performance was truly divine, I know that most of us, unfortunately, do not, and cannot ever hope to, know you. You deserved to be treated as a human, not a god - to be held to the standards of humans, being allowed to falter, to misspeak, to slow down, to rest and to be treated like a person, not an ideal or figurine that people could laugh at or be cruel to without concern for your feelings. I wish I could say the entertainment industry has moved on, has learned, but I fear this isn't the case, though more and more stars are claiming their rights, their independence and their privacy, which you would be proud of I think.
I miss you. It's an odd thing to say, since I suppose I never knew you, our lives only overlapped for a few years even. But I feel I've lost something for knowing that I don't even have the chance to ever see your smile live, or in person (you were so beautiful, the tabloids are blind vultures) - even from pictures of is so incandescent, so radiant that seeing it makes me feel a little brighter. I miss your honesty - it is so rare now, in a world of misleading media and taboo topics and press training (which I know is now necessary for celebrities to survive the shark-infested waters of social media, but still). I miss how you broke boundaries as if they didn't exist, without fanfare, just because you believed you could be better, things should be better. Did you know you've saved so many people? Your music has inspired people to chase their dreams, to express themselves freely and to make a change - I've even seen an interview where someone said that your music, particularly 'You Are Not Alone' and 'Baby Be Mine' inspired them to keep going, when they heard the song during a moment of crisis in their lives - I think that would make you proud, knowing your music has effected such change on a huge scale AND a personal scale.
Thank you so much, angel - I hope you are blissfully happy now.
Today I got an email that Patreon has marked my entire profile as 18+. Hardly enough adult stuff in there to deserve the label, but since the platform decided to mark me as sicko, it WILL actually help me with my decision paralysis to make an adult tier on there. (The one I've been mentioning for like five years now.)
Since my last hopes of funding my comics just by making them evaporated completely throughout this year, I'm gonna have to start working on many other things that people actually want to buy pretty soon. (Like comms, fanart, maybe prints, if I figure out how to do that. And the pornos.)
All in all, I'm gravely dissapointed in Patreon's bootlicker behavior that is happening lately, if not constantly. I should not have to be sharing a platform with sloppers, and I should not be forced to share my personal documents for age verification. I'm not even from US. The adult artist have been suffering new censorship attacks every other month for years now. That now includes Patreon and their decision to comply with all the paypros fascist bullshit. No rightwing idiot should be deciding what is sexually explicit, and especially what is explicit enough to be hidden from public view completely.
But you know, other than that, new stuff on there soon :^)
