Kas' Diary: Leaving

Nick and Alex are outside the facility. Kas is next. What will he see outside? 

This is it. Today, I'm leaving the facility. 

Alex said she didn't live at the facility like Nick and I did. Her Evaluation was done long ago and now she just worked at the facility to survive. Nick wasn't so happy to hear that, but well... even if we lived on Lethe, it'd be the same. 

We'd have to work in corporations we didn't like, just to put food on the table. 

A few weeks ago, Nick was sent out of the facility to live on the island, and I wondered if he started living in the forest like we talked about. It'd be nice to be surrounded by nature and all! I just hope there'll be a good supply of water and food. Survival in the forest is harder than in a town or a city.

I don't know if I'm strong enough for that. 

It was a bit lonely for the first few days when Nick left. I still saw Alex here and there, but it didn't feel the same. We're hardly friends, after all. A little bit more than acquaintances, though.

I'm supposed to be packing my bags now, but I have nothing to bring aside from pieces of paper (my diary), and myself. The guards gave me a folder full of papers I didn't really understand, but were apparently important documents that I needed to keep with me always. 

It's almost sunset, and the guards are here to take me out. In about 20 minutes, I'll be released into the wild.

Honestly. I'm quite scared of leaving.
