Honestly I think the Case Of The Christmas Pudding is the only drama that I actually care between Sherlock Holmes and John Waston since Shelock Homles wanting John Watson to go away to keep him safe while John Waston assisting to stay it so interesting in retrospect since there a lot moment in the show where John does threaten to leave but never does since he enjoys Homle's company so much so having a episode where he want to stay it just a great constant and show how strong their relationship throughout the show since despite John Watson getting annoyed with Holmes, the series does a great job to show why they are friends and how much they enjoy each other company. This isn't to disrespect Granada Homles or anything i do see why Sherlock Holmes fans enjoy it and see why it the most accurate portrayal but for me personally their portrayal in the 1954 series live rent free in my head like John Watson try to act like the normal one then he progress to say shit like this:

As much as I love the concept of Three Continents Watson, I do think it's funnier if he just made that up to look better in his stories and is actually really awkward around women

am I like the only one who saw 1954 Holmes, a light-hearted comedic series, and thought "I really want a super angsty h/c fic with a lot of whump where they're terrified for each other"?

The Christmas Pudding episode just really did a number on me. Seeing Holmes so afraid for Watson was. Cathartic.

Actually, I wonder what Howard Holmes "Baker Street Bachelors" would look like if Bunny had to flirt with a random woman (on top of that watching his Holmes doing the same). But yes, Bunny should never drink tea in Baker Street without an pharmacist and a physican!!!

Oh god... I wonder if he can get past that sentence of "you have the most lovely eyes", poor dear might have a harder time than Watson. I'd love to see him trying the role reverse once lmao, in the regular universe, usually, his AJ did that (as Howard Holmes did in this episode lol)
