Looking at my world
Every universe. Every version. They are literally the same
Hey has anyone ever thought that Sherlock Holmes and Dr John Watson had like maybe something gay going on?
Is it just me?
Dream blunt rotation (and also insane crossover)
[ID: Digital sketch of Izzy Hands from Our Flag Means Death and Inspector Lestrade from Granada's Sherlock Holmes series taking a quiet moment to themselves. Izzy's sitting up, laid on the ground looking off to the distance while Lestrade, sat up in a chair opposite him and resting his legs at a windowsill by Izzy, smokes a cigarette. /end ID]
Honestly I think the Case Of The Christmas Pudding is the only drama that I actually care between Sherlock Holmes and John Waston since Shelock Homles wanting John Watson to go away to keep him safe while John Waston assisting to stay it so interesting in retrospect since there a lot moment in the show where John does threaten to leave but never does since he enjoys Homle's company so much so having a episode where he want to stay it just a great constant and show how strong their relationship throughout the show since despite John Watson getting annoyed with Holmes, the series does a great job to show why they are friends and how much they enjoy each other company. This isn't to disrespect Granada Homles or anything i do see why Sherlock Holmes fans enjoy it and see why it the most accurate portrayal but for me personally their portrayal in the 1954 series live rent free in my head like John Watson try to act like the normal one then he progress to say shit like this:
On cold nights on guard duty...
there's nothing like a good companion to share a cigarette with
The idea came from this post, Thanks to the comment from @rebeccasteventaylor! :
At some point, Holmes should have lit Watson's cigar using his own already lit cigar. GOD, that would have been almost pornographic
Close-up under the cut!
Does anybody know what the kind of tie that Sherlock wears in the Granada version is called? Cosplay puposes
Hey there my dear Johnlock Fellas!
I’m on the train back to the Airport after my short trip to London.
Therefore I would like to share some of my favourite Johnlock-Scenes from our german audiobooks adaptation.
We have a series called Sherlock Holmes Chronicles. One episode ist called “sein schrecklichster Fall” [his most terrible case] and it’s about the revenge of Baron Gruner from the illustrious client of the OG Books.
Short Summary: Gruner kills Kitty Winter for revenge and blames Shimwell Johnson for it.
His next step is to knock out Holmes by killing Watson (supposedly) and getting him blamed for the murder of his best friend.
Gruner played with Sherlocks feeling so well that he totally excepted it and sees no sense in a future without Watson.
The story is written at Holmes perspective!!
There are a few quotes I want to share:
[when he sees the body in the living room]:
A dozen opium pipes wouldn't have been able to numb me now.
A leaden weight lay on my chest, my heart and my soul.
…
My gaze fell on the body that lay dehumanized on the floor of our living room. It may sound frightening, but at that moment I abandoned my famous caution and common sense. I squawked and thrashed in vain, trying to get closer to my dead friend.
(Shout out to the great voice acting of Till Hagen)
[when he found out Watson is alive]:
… now I saw it too, and my heart threatened to burst with joy. Did we actually find Watson?
Now I recognized him. It was Watson, and I thought I would faint with relief. “It’s me, Sherlock! I come to save you, stay quiet!”
and that cute one after the case is solved:
[to mycroft and watson]:
As you can see, big brother, I can't hide my feelings sometimes either, especially when it comes to true love. Isn't that right, Watson?
Watson: Yes, that could be true, although I'm not sure what you mean by that.
Holmes: Watson, my good old friend. There's no one like you in this world. I feared I'd lost you forever. Because you're not just a friend, you're like a brother to me. And as such I love you.
I really just love our German Holmes audiobooks for that and every other Johnlock shipping moment.
