Wednesday on the elevator up to the pediatrician office I heard fellow passengers talk of snow in the forecast. I immediately turned around and asked for more details. There hasn't been snow here in three years! When I moved from CA to VA I assumed we'd get a ton of snow every year because I was moving to the east coast and doesn't everyone on the east coast live in snow? Apparently not.
All day on Thursday I was on snow watch and around 4pm we got our first flurries and I was a flurry of excitement taking all the pictures and videos for my west coast family and friends. By 7pm the snow had stopped and all the "winter weather watch" alerts for 2-4" (that were going to shut down the region) had been reduced and my hopes for a snow day had diminished.
Even though I had to come into work today I am glad there's enough snow to make the world white but not enough to affect driving (although the roads were clear because everyone still stayed home apparently).
I'm happy to say erp handled her two month immunizations extremely well. While she screamed bloody murder and her face turned a new shade of red, she didn't have an averse reaction nor was she overly fussy. The nurse let me be right next to her during her injections and I could pick her up immediately afterwards. She said we could stay in the room as long as we needed to so we got some extra cuddles in and I fed her to help calm her down.
Yesterday was erp's two month birthday (which blows my mind) so I proceeded to take approximately 60 pictures to get one good one to document the day. Simply obsessed with those cheeks of hers.
My parents are coming tomorrow for a week and my mom hasn't seen erp since she was two weeks old. She sure looks like a different kid since she's filled out! So excited to see my mom see her granddaughter again and stoked to have my dad meet her for the first time. She is named after his mother after all ♥️.
Happy Friday!!!
