Already listened to this oh gosh, maybe it was two years ago, on my little journey around my record shelves. “2,000 Miles” is a beautiful song that doesn’t have to be a Christmas song but serves the purpose very well. Boy, Chrissie was unassailable writing songs, just the best songwriter working at that moment in rock until, well, right after she made this record. This LP ends with “2,000 Miles.” Hey, I guess officially it’s her last great song? (Not trying to be mean. Pretendersの曲は全て好きだ。

今も活動している素晴らしいバンド！

でもドキドキして恋したような気分になるChrissieの歌詞を彩るサウンドは、Jamesのいた頃が1番だった気がする。

言葉で言ってしまうとアッサリしてる風に感じてしまうが、Pretendersの1st＆2nd アルバムは、神レベルのロックンロール・バンドが作った作品なのだ。

それはPretendersの４人全員の個性が輝いていたから。

This was taken what feels like a #lifetime ago. While driving home to #Colorado, a very #tired and #frustrated me came upon this old cart at a gas station in the middle of the #LasVegas #desert. The most visible side facing the road was a plain, faded #woodgrain, but upon rounding the corner I found the other side painted bright #rainbow colors. I remember being so moved when I saw it. At the time I was trying desperately to fit the mold expected of me as a person of faith all while longing to explore this side of me that I had spent years repressing. Now, #2years and roughly #2000miles later, I've abandoned the #fears and #oppressive #expectations that have held me back and I finally feel free to #embrace who I wholly am as my absolute truest self.
