propaganda i will always fall for: trashy 2000s underrated bollywood romcom waale chick flicks starring akshaye khanna.

here's my top 3 to convince u to fall for this propaganda because i need someone to yap about these with. EDIT: all of these are on youtube for free!

1. Aap Ki Khatir

GOD this movie was unexpectedly so fun! star studded cast (read: treat for the eyes) with AK, priyanka chopra, dino morea, ameesha patel and suniel shetty. very refreshing, not too illogical, funny, and ofcourse AK being a total babygirl himbo. barely any angst, proper feel-good movie. my fav scene is probably the one when theyre sitting next to each other on the plane and through PC's monologue you can literally see him breaking character and giggling. loved ts movie sm.

2. Shaadi Se Pehle

brainrot. thats all. also AK once again looking like a himbo in his corporate majdoor clothes (the rest of the outfits were a... choice, atleast it truly represents y2k fashion LMAO). so SO funny tho, esp akshaye, suniel shetty and rajpal yadav's one liners 😭 we have honestly forgotten what a proper rom-com should be like these days - like, do kaudi ki love story dikhaake aur main characters se 2 ghatiya jokes bulwaake movie romcom nhi banti. this i feel is a great reminder of a proper rom-com. also AK and Ayesha Takia looked so good together.

3. No Problem

YALL ARE SLEEPING ON THIS FILM. def more comedy than romance but akshaye and kangana's flirting was so cute 😭 was this movie absolutely nonsensical and illogical with hundreds of loopholes? yeah. BUT, was it also literally THE FUNNIEST movie i have ever watched? ABSOLUTELY. and thats saying a lot. its definitely not like these new gen comedy movies, with a subtle pun here and an innuendo there; oh no, this gem is an absolute punch to the gut of laughter. it WILL have you laughing till your cheeks and tummy hurt, theres nothing you can do about it. 🤷‍♀️ so yeah. its lighthearted, whimsical, silly, and has everything a feel-good comedy should have. also it has sanjay dutt and AK together so if u wanna see aslam and rehman together..

I was revisiting some older Hindi songs, and my Superman brainrot took over. Clark Kent would eat up the 2000’s Shah Rukh Khan love songs and the movies. The yearning in the songs, the lyrics, coupled with the dramatic plots with the healthier masculinity SRK portrayed and the family dynamics, oh Clark’s nosy ass would be invested and crying to them all. He would so vibe with the yearning in these songs omg, that man was reading Shakespeare for fun; when he discovers the beauty in poetry in other languages, he would be EATING them up. Oh Clark Kent, you would’ve loved beautiful Hindi and Urdu poetry 🤧

PS. every other language has better poetry out there than English and you’re in denial if you think otherwise
