The first two pages of the first book I ever wrote, then called “CTS” (CATS with the A removed, for whatever reason) and now named Lost Stars, written in 2000 when I was eight years old.

It was 145 pages long. Not a paragraph break to be found. It is extremely funny to read now, and it’s why you should always save the shit you made when you were a kid. If anything, it’s a sign for how prolific of a writer I would be later in life, cuz 145 pages is hella long for someone who is 8.

Anyway, on page 3 they turn into cat people and that’s just... a thing. 20 years later and I’m still trying to work out the details of that one. On one hand, I should just throw out the idea, because it was extremely stupid. At the same time, it’s forced me to get really creative to make sense of what a child came up with.
