Upon meeting Burt Lancaster on a day off in LA, Ringo annoys him so much by pretending to shoot him with toy guns that he later sends him two real guns with a holster.*
The Beatles had been invited to Lancaster's to watch the Peter Sellers film A Shot in the Dark. Ringo just wanted to be a cowboy.
*this blog does not condone a system where you can just send people real firearms with no accountability but I have to admit it's pretty funny

Today I saw a bird fly towards a tree and land on one of its outstretched branches. With total confidence, as the branch bounced up and down, up and down, until it settled. Then another bird landed right next to the first one, and the same movement occurred, until the branch adjusted to the additional weigh. The first bird didn't move an inch.
And I wondered whether they were born with this ability, or have to learn it. What strength does it require to keep oneself upright on what seems to me but a flimsy twig? To adapt when another of your kind, your mate perhaps, decides to join you? Is it as hard as learning how to walk, how to cycle, how to balance on one leg? What mysterious processes occur in a bird's brain in the execution of such a standard manoeuvre?
And at the same time I felt a longing for the simplicity of it. For being able to fly around and pause, just for a moment, in one of nature's most majestic plants. For the freedom of it.
