Day 11 of my 2019 vacation: “2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten”

I watched this movie about a guy named Felix (see first photo). It’s a coming-of-age story of a straight-A, top of the class, student who met with two half-American brothers, the Snyders and fell in love with one of them (see second photo - center). Oh, the title of the movie is “2Cool 2Be 4Gotten.”

This is actually an indie movie directed by Petersen Vargas and was premiered in the Philippines last 2017. It is also unique because they incorporated a Filipino dialect in Pampanga. They used Kapampangan and their history when the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo affected their town and Felix’ family. To add to that, the movie also depicts a classroom setup in the Filipino outlook where schools strictly impose English-speaking policies and journal-writings and such. 

No spoilers if you haven’t watched it and still want to watch it, but this movie has a tragic ending - hence, the title.
