2nd Boss. Because one alien just isn't enough.
1st boss. BEWARE THE LAZER OF DEATH!
Quick #unity #2dtoolkit test with animated clipping masks. Portal objects are go!
Unity 4.3 and 2D
I would like to talk a little bit about the new Unity release, the one with the new 2D tools in. Previously I had been dabbling with Unity addon 2DToolkit, but once the new version of Unity landed I really wanted to have a play with its new 2D workflow.
Whack-A-Mole: Following the Unity 2D Toolkit's Tutorial
Unity is currently celebrating it's 3rd anniversary by having a massive sale in its Asset Store. I've read in many places that the 2D Toolkit extension is one of the most popular extensions available for Unity.
Yada, yada, yada, I bought the extension, and this is the result of the 2D Toolkit's tutorial.
Unity Programmers needed!
I need programmers who can work with Unity and its 2DToolkit. It's for a project I'm working on. No professional experience necessary, though it would be helpful if you had some. Please note me if interested.
tk2dUIItem Auto Fit Script
This script automatically fit all tk2dUIItem colliders in current scene. Release the pain to click "Fit" button one by one.
using UnityEngine; using System.Collections; using UnityEditor; public class tk2dUIItemAutoFit :ScriptableObject { [MenuItem ("2D Toolkit/Custom/Auto Fit All UIItems")] private static void AutoFitAll() { Object[] uiItems = Resources.FindObjectsOfTypeAll(typeof(tk2dUIItem)); foreach (Object obj in uiItems) { tk2dUIItemBoundsHelper.FixColliderBounds((tk2dUIItem)obj); } } }
Trying out Unity
At the behest of the other members of the team, we're giving up on Cocos2d for now and doing the Unity3D stuff for now. :c
So far it's been a mixed bag same as everything else but I can see why people like it; it's high-level game dev tool, a BS in CSCI isn't really needed. If anyone knows any good tips/tricks for the 2D Toolkit, please comment or shoot them my way, I will be in your debt!
