My summary from 2nd semi :)

So, as you probably know, the Gromee’s snake dance wasn’t enough for qualification for my country :x but suprisingly its not the thing that I’m most sad about. In prediciton I had 8 out of 10 qualifiers correct.  So let’s start:

Biggest shock: that my parents’ favourite was... Hungary :D I didn’t know that they like this genre that much and I thought they will say it’s just screaming :D but I’m happy because I liked them as well :)

Unexpected qualifiers: Serbia and Slovenia - i was like 90% sure they won’t be in, especially Serbia (I knew that Slovenia has quite a lot of supporters; personally i can’t stand the dubstep part). Well, in both performances vocals were on point.

Biggest disappointments: Vocals of Lukas from Poland - they were really weak, I thought he recently was in better shape vocally... I love the snake dance but it was shown too many times; camera work and effects could’ve been better... so I kinda understand why it didn’t qualify...

What I’m most sad about: Latvia and Romania out :( :( Laura’s song is great, her vocals and camera work were on point and she seems to be such a nice person... Romania - one of the better voices, I liked the song and  the lyrics of the song mean a lot for me actually, especially in the first part of the song...

Other disappointments: France’s performance seems weaker than the one from national final, such a shame, because this song is one of my favs. BTW the Monsieur Jean-Karl (on the guitar) really reminds me of my favourite vollayball player Michał Winiarski, which is quite funny, as he really liked to sing and other players and fans joked  that he should go to the Eurovision XD Also Benjamin’s vocals (from Sweden) were weak in the chorus - but the staging is just amazing.

Positive aspects: Ukraine was as good as I expected, great, solid voice, great performance - my nr 1 tonight :D. Romania and Latvia also won my heart, Germany - amazing staging and vocals, and the song is beautiful <3 Malta better than I expected. Oh, and the robots from San Marino were quite adorable (but that’s the only good thing about their performance)

Overall, the semi was weaker but still had a great of songs. And wow, in 1st semi Azerbaijan, and now Russia and Romania for the 1st time didn’t qualify :o Still a shocker, although it rather wasn’t a big suprise for me as I didn’t predicted that they could qualify.

So now the final... I wish all the contestants luck :D Since the Poland is out, I’m rooting for Albania (to get a high place in final ranking - he isn’t a contender for a win unfortunately :c; also I feel that he can get second position in running order...), Ukraine, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Germany and UK (Surie is reallyyyyyy underrated, I’m so happy she has a good staging <3)
