I might become the leader of the second violins next week
Why? Because the first one broke her arm, the other one dropped out and the guy that would've become it has a long lasting injury.
The conductor said he would make an seating arrangement for the players, but to be honest I can't really see who would sit in front, or rather, no-one is suited for it, if it's not presumptuous of me to say.
The thing I have in abundance is pride, and I do not mind playing behind people, but they have to be better than me. So I am actually hoping it will be me. I am a bit nervous about it. I played it yesterday, before christmas holidays multiple times because the other people were not there to sit.
I am not sure my conductor has a lot of confidence in me though....
