Death of my own academic record due to laziness. College edition.

looking back I will fail a course by not showing up to the classes but doing the work to learn in a late manner. Love this. This is doing with touch typing involved and at the mercy of the people around me to not just up and agree with me on this on one. No should of's now just accepting it right now. ACCEPTANCE. totally. well yeah surprised the prof didn't drop me.

Where do I find the old school type love where I get anonymous bouquets and a letter on my doorstep, occasional meetcutes and lying down in the vast grassland looking at the sky in his arms and the whole world feels same, complete and utterly beautiful. Where is it?

I want to push you up against all the colors of the setting sun and kiss you until you forget how to spell your own name.

It’s been a year and I still look at your horoscope.

I still keep the book you gave me and I still know your favorite color.

I haven’t thrown the stuffed bear you gave me for a birthday,

or burned the notebook of poems you wrote for me on Christmas.

I still have the bucket list we made, the recipes we picked, and the letters we sent.

But

I have learned to look past your horoscope to look at mine as well.

I have learned to put away the book, the bear, the notebook in a box downstairs.

I have learned to make new lists for myself to do,

I have learned to write new letters for my family to read.

I might never forget your favorite color when I gaze at the night sky,

or how the stars seem to mimic the twinkle in your eyes.

But I learn and learn and learn new things each day,

And to me,

That’s okay.
