Fernie Brewing Company The Griz Pale Ale

My first Fernie Brewing beer was a massive disappointment. Tasted no different than your average Kokanee. After providing tasters to others somebody even said that it was worse than Kokanee.

Save some money and buy yourself a six pack of Cariboo instead.

PSA: Who Ya Gonna Call?

The city (of Vancouver) possesses several fairly useful numbers that you can call to make inquiries regarding municipal matters as well as reports on things such as noise complaints, lesser crimes, etc. However, there are many that are unaware of their existence and would (maybe) get great benefit from such knowledge!

3-1-1

The first number this PSA will cover is 3-1-1. If you need to make a complaint or an inquiry and are unaware of where to start, this is the first place you should try. 

This number can be called for reasons such as:

Reporting missed Garbage/Compost/Recycling Collection

Downed trees that may be obstructing roads

Burnt out street lights

Some sewer-related issues (like if you see water randomly squirting out of the ground)

Being directed to the proper person that can answer your inquiries

etc...

Everyone is familiar with 9-1-1, however, it shouldn't be used in just any situation. Generally, unless it's a critically important matter where your, or somebody else's, life is on the line or immediate attention is warranted, you should call non-emergency.

In matters that don't require immediate attention, such as noise complaints, a crime that occurred awhile ago, etc, Non-Emergency should be the one called. By doing so, the lines, and resources, are freed up for emergency services to tackle more critical, pertinent issues that may be going on in another part of the city.
