Because I need to take the dive and watch this show soon enough, I watched the first episode of Cardcaptor Sakura and it was fucking delightful! First of all this show’s mad pretty, I adore all of the character designs (Sakura and Tomoyo are like, unfathomably cute, and Sakura’s roller skates are cool as hell) and the animation is like, really really clean. There was a lot of just really visually pleasing motions and shots from start to finish with this episode and I mean like, I know it’s Madhouse, but god damn this is crazy fun to look at. Characters are already just great, Sakura’s adorable and cool and funny all at once, Keroberos likewise is cute and I love his banter with Sakura, dude’s legit funny as well. I’m like loosely aware that this show’s tone is really quite lighthearted for most of its run time, and I mean the tone of this first episode was perfect, I could keep watching this forever, it’s delightful.

So uh, like with Sailor Moon, the plan is to watch an episode of this every day. Being only 70 episodes as well I’ll actually finish this around the same time I finish that show. Of course this has some movies and specials and then all of Clear Card, likewise Sailor Moon has Crystal and some other stuff, so I don’t actually know how closely I’ll finish them to each other but, we’ll see I suppose. Like with Sailor Moon I’ll cover every episode, try stick to a schedule, all that fun stuff. Real happy to be doing this, Cardcaptor Sakura is like, the other really big magical girl show, and it’s about time I got it started.

And with all due respect, if you don't want your fiancé on the serial killer suspect list, I suggest you get a fiancé who's not a reformed serial killer. I'm not happy that your children are hurting. But maybe if you thought about who you were letting into their lives, they wouldn't be.
