I remember when I first read Dracula and the 5 men were so adamant about not involving Mina in any of their expeditions after connecting all the dots and feeling like they were being a bit misogynistic. You know, like "she is a woman", "she can't handle it" and all that.
Rereading now, it's still the same but idk this time it feels like they were just being chivalrous and actually trying to protect her?! Arthur accepts her as his sister and promises to help her if needed and Quincey Morris does the same after kissing her hands. Van Helsing can't stop praising her and Dr. Seward positions himself between Renfield and her when they are interacting so as to ensure Renfield doesn't do anything to her.
Yeah, there certainly is some "women are frail creature" type undertones but it still feels okay?!

In Volcano!, Dr Quentin Questa (Mark Gatiss) has inaccurately predicted the eruption of a volcano for the last decade. This time however, he invokes a special science code of honor that brings Brains out to his location. Brains discovers that Questa is right: the volcano is about to blow!
