I’ve been forgetting #31daysofhappiness so here’s today’s. I’m going to try a new kind of art! I decided this week that I want to learn how to paint. (Although, to be honest, I’ve wanted to try this for years, especially since I started writing a painter as my main character.) I already have acrylic paint from years of general crafting, so I’m going to start with that and get nicer paint if this ends up being a hobby I stick with. 💚 I’ve had such a hard time getting back into the other types of art I used to do (crochet, embroidery, polymer clay, spinning yarn, jewelry making, and chainmaille), so I’m hoping starting something new will be the thing that gets me back into being crafty. 🤞🏻
Today’s #31daysofhappiness is kitty help. I’m brainstorming things that should happen in book two and Aries decided to join in. I think he’s telling me to add the cat into these scenes. Or maybe he just really likes stealing pens and eating notebooks. Probably that one.
I hadn't been remembering to share my IG happiness challenge posts over here, so I'm going to try to do this from here on out because happiness is a good thing. So here's today's happy for #31daysofhappiness - my best friend and I went to the craft store and found the perfect box for holding the shells I picked up on the beach last month. (I got them on my birthday, which was the coolest thing! The ocean gave me a present of a ton of awesome looking shells.) The glass sides are perfect and I added some cute beachy sticker things to it. This is going to live on the shelf of my desk next to my writing notebooks so I can see it all the time. 💚
Today’s #31daysofhappiness was an easy one! My best friend and I went to the dollar store and they had school supplies out! Normally school stuff the first week of July still annoys me even thirteen years after graduating college, but I needed notebooks. (I’ll probably need more than this before the back to school season is over lol.) I got four of those, two binders, two folders, washi tape, and stickers, plus two more glitter balls for juggling purposes. 💚
I’ve been forgetting #31daysofhappiness so here’s today’s a little late in the day. I’m setting myself a goal of working with each type of prop five minutes a day. Maybe not every prop (like if its raining, I can’t do staff), but at least a few of them, and I’m hoping 5 minutes becomes longer. I’ve been itching to use my neglected props and advance past the basics, so this will hopefully inspire me to actually practice. 🤞🏻Today I hooped, wanded, toss juggled, contact juggled, did poi, and used my flower sticks.
