We’re officially on baby watch.
TOMORROW at 8:15 a.m. is when my water broke with erp’s pregnancy (37w0d). My mom’s flight from California is scheduled to arrive in Virginia at 6:55 p.m. tomorrow night so here’s hoping Aug can stay put until after my mom is safely here with us.
But, because pretty much all the important things are done (crib assembled and in place, hospital bag packed, car seats ready to go, new monitor purchased and to arrive tomorrow, breast pump located and ready with hospital bag, upstairs pack and play assembled and ready, new upstairs chair just needing to be assembled which I’ll do today), I’m sure Aug will take her sweet time to make her appearance :) Which is just fine with me! I truly felt like I was robbed the end of my last pregnancy so I’m curious to see what it’s like to make it past 37 weeks.
I’ve informed the four executives I support what the coverage plan is during my leave so that if/when I go out suddenly I don’t have to explain anything and can just Slack to tell them it’s time! All I really have to do now is wait it out. Which is strange thinking every day is the day only to have it be not the day. Definitely will make for a long three weeks to my due date.
As of Friday (yesterday) I was 1cm dilated and I start weekly OB appointments now. I scheduled my next appointment for Tuesday because I’m so anxious about giving birth again at 37 weeks, I wanted to be checked again asap.
Thanks to someone liking some old posts about my first few days with erp I read through those and am reminded just how exhausting and time consuming having a newborn is! And this time I get to do it with a toddler in tow! I know I’ll adapt and find a routine, but I’m sure the learning curve will be steep and full of hormonal rollercoasters :)
Here we go!
