It’s 3:14 more often than it ought to be...

So, funny story.

Not Ah! Ah! funny, but you know... vaguely interesting type thing.

If I look at a clock between 3:00 and 3:30, it’s almost always 3:14. I’ve studied probability and statistics (came 1st in Canada on a test once!), as well as how people can remember data wrong or notice only certain things, I’m familiar with the principles behind cold readings, etc... Anyway, I am 100% aware that it seems like I always happen to catch 3:14 simply because when I do, it sticks to my memory and when I don’t, I don’t think of it.

Just the same, math head here, even though I went into applied math and eventually finance rather than pure math (I did consider it), so I find it interesting that I seem to run into PI so often.

So today I got my key for my new mailbox. They changed the old ones in the neighborhood for new ones, and we all get a new slot. There are a few boxes in each neighborhood, and each box has like 20 slots or something like that.

Anyway, our new slot is box 3, slot 14.

Interesting, eh?
