The photos above by photographer Lin Yung Cheng really caught my eye. I love how simple these portraits appear. I am trying to do something similar myself, I want to stage a simple photo at home “effortlessly” but for it to feel unique and meaningful. Not so easy.

I’ve been thinking and rethinking and researching for my photography project over the last few weeks which reminded me of two excellent pieces of advice I received when it comes to creativity:

1) Your first idea is always a bad idea

2) Run with the first thing that comes to mind

Yep, they are completely contradictory words of wisdom.
