Can I request 40s Bucky crushing on a nurse?? <3 TY!!!
WAIT FOR ME
Warnings angst, fluff, idk what else.
A/N- Thank you for the lovely ask anon, I hope you like this one :)
You miss him. You miss him so much.
Bucky, who asked you out six month ago, and whom you've been dating ever since. And he's the sweetest, kindest man you've ever met, and he looks at you like you hung up the stars and the sun in his skies.
But you still haven't slept with him yet.
Not that he's been pressuring you at all. He's a real man after all- he just kisses you softly and sweetly at the end of every date, and to be very honest you've had dates almost every day since one month. Then he lingers at your bedroom door, smiling sweetly and flirting shamelessly while you nervously play with your hair, turning redder by the minute.
But you never invite him in, and he never asks.
It's not that you don't want him. Of course you do. And so does he. You see the way he looks at you sometimes, as if he would like to rip off your blouse, slam you down on whatever nearest surface is available, and fuck at least ten babies inside you.
It makes your heart stutter. And your panties a mess.
But you can't. You just can't. The risks are too high.

"Robert! We need more gauze here! 2 gunshot wounds!", you shout for help as you kneel beside the wounded man, pressing your fingers into his bleeding abdomen, making him wince.
"How are you doing soldier? I need you to stay awake for me, ok?" You tell the handsome man, whose face is caked with mud and crusted blood.
He jolts as if out of a dream, then slowly grins.
"Doll," he says in an unmistakable Brooklyn accent.
"I'm gonna marry you."
That was the first time you met Bucky. You were used to soldiers flirting with you, but the way HE said it made your heart turn somersaults on the sidewalk.
You blush deeply, turning away from him and signaling Gary and Mark to carry him to the medical camp, before turning back around.
"You should save your energy soldier," you tell him more quietly, a smile threatening your stiff demeanor.
"You can call me Bucky doll," he grins. "Or anything else that fancies your pretty mind".
His wink makes your heart skip a beat, but you roll your eyes for show.
"And you can call me never," you smirk as he blows you a kiss before being carried away on the stretcher.

He's sleeping when you return to the temporary shed the military has set up, a few miles away from the actual battle site.
He looks peaceful, and so, so beautiful. You feel tears pricking your eyes as you think about the dreadful fates of many of these soldiers.
He stirs in his sleep, his expression growing more troubled. You realise he must be having a bad dream. You lean over him, sitting at the edge of the bed, smoothing his forehead softly with your palm.
It's okay, you tell him. You're okay.
His eyes slowly blink open. It takes him a minute, but when he realizes it's you, he breaks into another one of his heartwarming grins.
"It's you, my angel!" He exclaims.
"You were having a bad dream, " you look at him gently.
He smiles softer now, looking into your eyes.
"That's because I dreamt I asked you out, and you said no."
You blush and smile at his cheekiness, shaking your head in mock annoyance as you turn away to tend to another patient.
His hand on your wrist makes you stop.
"Stay. Please."
His voice is raw with emotion now. You're surprised for a moment, before you gently unclasp his grasp.
"Sleep, soldier." You softly cup his cheek. "I'll be here when you wake up."
That was 6 months ago. He was so injured the military forced him to take rest. And you were so grateful. The day he got discharged, he took you out on your first date to a diner in New York. He was chivalrous and kind and funny, and he told you a million times how much he loved you.
And you couldn't say it back even once.
You touch your hair and smoothen your dress one last time. Bucky's going to be here any minute. You both decided to stay in tonight, his last day before he's shipped off to battle tomorrow.
When the bell rings, you fly down the stairs two at a time and open the door to rush into his arms.
"Whoa," he chuckles. "Somebody was really excited to see me huh?"
You don't bother replying as you bury your nose in his leather jacket, inhaling his scent so that you can fill your lungs with him. His arms wrap around you tight, crushing you against his chest.
When you finally lean back and kiss him, he chuckles as he lifts you up and carries you inside.
"If you had your way doll, you'd keep me standing on the doorway kissing you forever," he teases you.
if you had your way, you would never let him leave. But you don't tell him that.
instead, you just say, "I cooked for you, soldier".
Bucky smiles and pulls you into his lap, kissing every inch of bare skin he can find.
"You're so good to me doll," he tells you. "I don't know what I did to deserve you."
.
.
.
"you're so good to me doll," Bucky grins as you gently wipe his face clean of sweat and dust. You smirk at him, rolling your eyes.
"I do this for everyone, soldier", you tell him.
"Yeah, but only I am going to marry you," he says with complete confidence that both turns you on and makes you blush and giggle like a schoolgirl.
He always calls you doll, because "You have eyes like a doll, and you wear clothes like a doll, and you look like a doll..."
"Shut up soldier", you'd blush and swat at his chest playfully, and he always catches your hand in his kissing your fingers softly with that look on his face, daring you to try and deny him what's his.
And you always call him soldier.
You both lie quietly on the couch after dinner, you on top of him, his fingers carding through your curls gently. You play with his dog tags, and he keeps kissing you every few minutes. The radio plays somewhere, a sweet love song.
"What are you thinking, doll?" He asks you quietly, stroking your soft cheek.
"Nothing," you reply. Only that you'll leave me tomorrow.
"Liar", he tells you, kissing your nose. "I'll tell you what i am thinking. When i come home the next time, I am gonna put a ring on your finger and at least ten babies in your belly. And we are gonna be husband and wife and we will grow old together and-"
"Stop soldier," you whisper, putting a finger on his lips, which he promptly starts nibbling, making you giggle before you recompose yourself.
"I am serious though. Nobody knows what tomorrow will bring," you continue softly.
"No, but mine lies with you," he says, his eyes glinting with a determination that scares you.
You both fall asleep that way. You still don't invite him to your bed, and he still doesnt ask.
The next morning he leaves for his mission. You wonder if it's odd that when he kisses you he tastes of desire and longing and promises, when all you can feel is regret and fear and apprehension. You hide your tears behind your polka-dotted handkerchief, waving to him as he boards the ship. He gets on, then runs back to you quickly for a brief moment, dipping you back in his arms and kissing you one last time.
"Wait for me, doll," he winks.

3 years later
War has ended, but its remnants hang in the air still, like the smell of cheap perfume in an elevator long after its wearer has left. The streets are full of men who are suddenly too many, and the jobs too few. Women try to keep up with their old jobs and their newly returned husbands. And your hospital is full of patients, some of them severely disfigured. But everything is much more cheerful now, because people have hope for a better tomorrow.
That is, everyone except you.
You lean over the young man, wiping his arm softly with wet cotton before you plunge an injection in it.
"Nurse Y/N?"
You turn around to find Mary, your colleague at the end of the bed. She walks over to you, taking the injection from your hand.
"I'll handle this," she cheerfully tells you. "You go take a break."
You're slightly confused, but you shrug and thank her and walk to the next patient.
"Doll?"
The familiar voice calls out to you.
You stop dead in your tracks, before slowly turning around to face him. Your hands are already trembling. And it's him.
Your soldier.
Your Bucky.
He looks older. And he has a metal arm..? And his face looks rougher and darker and unshaven. And he's the most beautiful man you have ever seen. Your body reacts to him before your brain can process the shock, so you run and throw yourself into his arms and then burst into tears a second later.
I love you Bucky, you whisper over and over. I love you.
They told me you were dead.
His fingers grip your waist as if he's clutching at a lifejacket. His arms crush you to his chest, and his tears soak your neck.
"I love you too, my angel," his voice cracks.
"I love you so much."
After an eternity of trying to fill your lungs with each other, you both finally let go, only slightly. You will never be able to stand being too far away from him again. And you know he's rough and broken right now, but you will help him smoothen the jagged ends and light up the dark places inside.
Then Bucky gets down on one knee with a ring in his hand, and you don't even bother to look at it before you crash your lips into his.
And now he tastes like marriage and ten kids and growing old together.
You get married the very next hour, and when Bucky carries you over the threshold in his arms, you dont have to invite him to your bedroom. And he doesn't ask.
do you think he'd sing? at all?
ok wait HEAR ME OUT PLEASE
would 40s bucky barnes sing on the immensely rare occasion, maybe when he's drunk, singing along to songs with teh Howling Commandos, would post-cw bucky softly sing along to old 40s music in an attempt to remember how he used to love the old tunes, and now for the fic writers:
do you think 40s bucky would drunkenly and softly sing to you after a particularly wonderful night at the bar with you? maybe an uncharacterisitc thing for him to do, but maybe if he enjoyed the night with you (reader) so much that he'd drunkenly sing a random lovesick or romantic lyric while dancing against you or with you in his arms?
i really need an answer so please gang, thank you

This fanart has haunted me since the first time I seen it and then I watched the Inglorious Bastards and here we are. There is nothing explicated stated but since Bucky is lowkey inspired by Hans Landa, take care of yourself and skip if you need to.
Footsteps and a knock at the door.
“Mademoiselle?” the quiet voice of a maid drifts from the cracks of the door, “Mademoiselle are you awake? You have invités.”
The code word is what rouses the girl from her fitful sleep. Sliding out of her warm bed, the girl grabs her robe and slips it on before opening her bedroom door for her maid.
“Merci, Josette. How many?” The hoarse voice tears its way from her throat as she steps aside for her maid to come in.
Josette shifts nervously on her feet but stays put before whispering, “One but Mademoiselle, he is… he is the one from the papers.”
The girl nods as she listens to the frightened words of her maid. “Take him to the kitchen and tell him that I will be down momentarily. Give him a glass and a pitcher of water but do not offer him anything else and leave immediately. Wake Monsieur Pierre and tell him that you need him to take you to get honey. Do you understand?”
Josette doesn’t do anything, she just stares at the girl that she’s worked for for the last two years in shock. She begins to tremble and she grips her by the shoulders.
“Tu comprends, Josette?”
She nods and scurries off down the hall, her blonde hair whipping behind her. The girl closes her door and begins to fix her appearance in her vanity mirror, rebraiding a braid she wore to sleep that night. She changes into her usual pair of cotton dungarees with a worn white blouse under and puts on the terribly knitted cardigan she made when Monsieur Pierre’s wife was first teaching her. Unable to find her boots, she slips on her oxfords and stalls at the door with her hand on the knob. She had hoped that it would’ve taken the bastard longer to find her but alas time is never going to be on her side.
She pulls the door open and walks to the kitchen. She’d come to love this chateau during her months here and would miss it when she undoubtedly would be forced to flee. Pierre’s hushed voice draws her attention behind her but she doesn’t turn around. He’s telling Josette to hurry up and it almost made her chuckle. He wasn’t fond of the young blonde and would lecture her regularly. It seemed as though nothing would ever change from the sound of his frustrated voice.
The flicking candle light in the kitchen is a warning, an omen really as she drew closer. She knows who was sitting in there, the man who had been haunting her dreams for years now.
“Monsieur,” she says in demure tone as she steps into the kitchen, “I apologize for my staff. She is a nervous girl. Would you like something to drink other than water? Coffee? Tea?”
“Fräulein,” the menacing voice that plagues her drawls, “you know that’s not how you should address me.”
The switch from French to German causes her to freeze internally but she doesn’t let it show. Instead she feigns nativity and she shakes her head at him, “I’m afraid I do not speak German, only French.”
He only stares at her. His sharp blue eyes are intense as they were before but the evidence of their time together is everlasting. A deep scar that stretches from his eyebrow to the bottom of his eye socket and a milky white eye in the middle of it.
Her lip curls up in a smirk when she turns her face and sits opposite of him. He’s dressed in the usual attire of a colonel: an immaculately kept black uniform with a long black overcoat.
“We both know that is a lie, Fräulein.”
She doesn’t respond.
His own smirk overcomes his painfully beautiful face, “Drop the act, y/n.
“I don’t know what or who you’re talking about. There is no act to be dropped and no y/n here.”
He leans back in his chair, causing the wood to creak and groan under his weight. He takes a drink of water while holding eye contact with her. Upon setting it down, the sound of gunfire rips through the air and she tenses while he watches for her reaction. When she doesn’t so much as flinch, he cocks his head at her and narrows his eyes. A car barrels down the gravel driveway and crashes into the ancient tree in the center.
“I would apologize for them but that would be a lie,” he tells her.
There’s a shift in the air and her demure french woman act is, in fact, dropped.
Her accented German cuts thick through the air, “What do you want?”
“You.”
“No.”
“I wasn’t asking.”
“No.”
“I will burn this shithole to the ground,” he says as he pulls out a cigarette tin and lights a cigarette. He offers one to her and she takes it, allowing him to light it.
“Is that meant to scare me into going with you? Come on, James, you have done worse than that and I suspect you will do far more.”
“Perhaps,” he agrees with a shrug of his shoulders. “But you will come with me, y/n. Tonight.”
“No,” she states again, blowing out her smoke and crossing her arms.
“Defiant as always I see,” he mutters under his breath as he too takes a drag of his cigarette.
There is a long silent pause as the two of them smoke and stare at each other. His beauty hasn’t waned over the years but it’s turned deadly. The scar she gave him when she escaped him that night adds to the murderous edge to his gaze. The uniform that he wears is foul and makes her sick to her stomach. He’d promised to leave, promised to get away before things got bad. He’d promised to come for her once it was safe and they could live the life they had dreamed of.
He’d broken all of those promises when he put on that uniform. All but one promise that is. He has come for her and he would be able to provide her with his sick verison of safety.
“One of us is going to die,” she says finally whilst tapping the ashes of her cigarette onto the floor. “That’s the only way this ends.”
“No, Fräulein. There is another way but you will not like it.”

I wrote an 8.5k one-shot about Percy and Nico growing up and falling in love in the 40s! What can I say, I missed writing about my boys falling in love.
Read if you have the time, and as always, feedback is greatly appreciated.
It was a Friday night, which meant that people were packed into The Diamond like sardines. Catherine could barely see through all of the cigarette smoke. It used to make her sick, but she was used to it by now.
Catherine lifted a tray of drinks above her head, maneuvering around a small crowd of people. She was heading directly for two of the most nervous looking men she’d ever seen, but she knew them well. Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes often snuck into The Diamond because it was too busy to card them. Rogers had only just turned 19 while Bucky was a little closer to his 21st birthday. But they still shouldn’t have been in here, and she knew it. She just didn’t have the heart to kick them out.
Besides, they were cute.
Especially Barnes… even if he was a pain in her ass every time he came in.
She set the tray down and handed them two glasses of whiskey.
Bucky grabbed his and tossed her a wink.
“Thanks, gorgeous.”
“You need anything else?” She asked. “It’s last call and I gotta start closing up.”
“Your number,” Bucky purred.
Steve audibly groaned, and Bucky shot him a death glare while Catherine chuckled.
“Barnes, you’ve been trying this for almost a year, and the answer is no.”
His blue eyes sparkled in the dim light, and he lit a cigarette.
“How come you always play hard to get, doll?”
Catherine leaned over, almost pushing her breasts into his face. His eyes dropped to them quickly before locking on hers again. Meanwhile, Steve had his face buried in his hands. Bucky sucked on his cigarette and blew a smoke ring as she grinned and licked her lips.
“How come you don’t have identification, Barnes?”
“My pretty blue eyes and my word aren’t enough for ya?” He teased.
“You get away with far too much around here,” Catherine replied.
A shout from across the bar drew her attention for a moment, more customers wanting drinks before closing time.
“Looks like you’re in demand, kitty-Cat,” Bucky grinned with a wink, ignoring the exasperated noise that Steve made.
“Call me that again and you’ll be wearin’ your whisky,” Catherine hissed.
“And it would be an honour,” Bucky replied, lips twitching into a small smirk this time.
Catherine rolled her eyes and glanced at Steve, mouth open and the beginnings of his name on her lips but the smaller man got there first.
“Don’t look at me! Like I could stop him from making a fool of himself?!”
“Uh huh,” Catherine turned, shaking her head but she didn’t miss the scrunch of Bucky’s nose, cheeky and only slightly adorable as he watched her walk away.
She could feel his eyes on her as she walked through the hoards of people to get to the bar. Knowing how the sway of her hips under the skirt of her burgundy dress and the tie of her black apron on top emphasizing her waistline captivated him, she spared him a glance over her shoulder.
His eyes were on her, trailing every inch. It made Catherine feel wanted and powerful. Even she could admit to herself that despite tolerating him, his admiring glances were not like the other fellas around here.
"Hey sugar lips! How about another beer!" A thoroughly drunk man called out as Catherine rounded the bar, his hand coming down hard on her backside.
The action caused her to jump, her face turning red with both anger and disgust as she tightly gripped the tray in her hand to keep herself from knocking the old geezer out.
Yeah, at least the Barnes boy wasn't like the other fellas.
"How many times have I told you to keep your hands to yourself Lawrence!" Catherine snipped at him. "Do that again and you won't have hands to scratch your own ass with!" She tossed in, setting the tray down with a thud and grabbing another beer for the brute.
Out of the corner of her eye she could see Bucky move to stand from his chair, hand gripping tightly at the table him and Steve were sitting at. She hoped he wouldn’t be stupid enough to walk up to the bar and say something, then she’d have to deal with two yucks and the one behind the counter was enough for right now.
She poured a mug and placed it harshly on the counter, the liquid sloshing against the glass at the movement. The man in front of her protested over the spilled drops and she let out a sharp exhale.
"Spilled half the beer on the floor missy," the drunk rambled and Catherine turned away from him. She heard him stand, ready to argue with her but his next foul words were cut short by the screech of stool legs dragging across the old floor.
"I'll buy you another," Bucky's irritatingly smooth voice floated over her as she turned to watch him push the patron back in his seat with a firm hand to his shoulder. "Ain't no use in bugging the pretty lady over a few drops," he smiled at the man but his eyes were trained on Catherine. "Is there Larry?"
"My names Lawrence," the old man grumbled.
"Alright Lester," Bucky cooed, "another beer. Please cookie," he dropped his tone and his tongue ran over his bottom lip.
Catherine’s eyes rolled heavenwards while she struggled to maintain her straight face, a smile threatening to erupt across her red lips.
“Lord preserve me from drunks an’ fools,” she muttered fixing another beer.
“Guess you’d be in the wrong line of work then, Darlin’.”
Bucky raised his eyebrow and tossed a couple of peanuts from the bar into the air, catching them cockily in his mouth.
“Oh, so he gets to call you sweet names but when I do it—“
“Can it, Lance,” Bucky grinned, and when he wiggles his eyebrows at Catherine this time, she can’t help but chuckle. “Let the pretty lady do her job and why don’t you go enjoy your beer — you’re welcome by the way — over by the poker game I see goin’ on over there. Maybe your luck’ll be better with that, huh?”
“You gonna let this kid talk to me like that? And for the last time, my name is Lawrence!”
Catherine just shrugged, catching Bucky’s eye, shining with smugness as the drunkard wobbled from his stool and left the bar, huffing and puffing.
"You're welcome, darlin'," she heard the overly confident boy tell her. Making her roll her eyes and turn away to wipe down the counter
"I never said thank you, Barnes," she threw over her shoulder at him.
He chuckled. The light sound irritating her as he replied, "And you'll never have to, Doll."
Catherine bit back an irritated smile as she wiped up the spilled beer from the counter with a wet rag, face turned away from him in an attempt to not let Bucky think that he had her under his spell, because he didn't.
No, sir, she would not be swayed by his devilish good looks.
She was not the kind of woman to go googly eyed over some fresh face pretty boy with nice hair, even if he did have a certain charm about him and a nice ass.
“So what’d-”
“Oh Caaaat,” a voice whistled from behind Bucky, interrupting him and Catherine grumbled in annoyance. When she lifted her gaze from the counter top she found the brunette moustached man looking right at her, a sly smirk on his face.
“How many times are you gonna make me beg for a dance, Cathy come ooooon.”
“I thought you didn’t beg, Stark. And don’t you have all the dames you could want already?”
"I'd beg for you sugar," Howard winked at her as he rolled up the sleeves of his white dress shirt.
"One dance Howie and then I gotta get back to work," she rolled her eyes.
"How come you never dance with me when I beg?" Bucky whined, leaning over the counter even more.
"Well cause honey you look like you have two left feet and you sure aren't a Stark." Catherine giggled and dropped the rag to the counter. She took great pleasure in the look in Bucky's eyes following her around the bar and as she slipped her hand into Howard's she threw a coy look over her shoulder at him.
Cheek to Cheek was playing on the jukebox which Al, The Diamond’s owner, had bought just the year before. Howard brought his left hand to the small of her back and pulled them a little closer as he led them around the small dance floor.
“Did you agree to dance ‘cause you wanted to or are you trying to make someone jealous?” He asked, his moustache tickling against her ear.
“I ain’t got no-one to make jealous, Stark,” she replied.
“It doesn’t look like that from here,” Howard chuckled, tilting his head back towards the bar.
Catherine looked as they twirled, and sure enough Bucky was glaring daggers at Howard. A laugh bubbled up, unbidden. She liked seeing Bucky like that a little more than maybe she should have, considering she definitely did not like him. Not at all.
"Help me out, sugar?" She said quietly, when her back was to Bucky again, "Dip me, or kiss my cheek before we're done?"
Howards eyes twinkled mischievously, "Are you trying to rile the poor boy up, Catherine?"
“Humour me, Howie. Bucky over there doesn’t know when to quit, been chasin’ my tail for as long as he and Stevie have been comin’ in here. What’s one more tease?”
Howard grinned, “I knew I liked you.”
He spun her in time to the music and Catherine kept an eye on Bucky where he slumped back against the bar. With a new glass of whiskey in his hand, he sipped it slowly, eyes dark over the rim as he watched them dance.
“Now,” she hissed and Howard reacted quickly, dipping her low, his moustached smile tickling her skin as he smacked a kiss to her cheek for good measure.
Catherine giggled as her hand slipped to steady herself on his shoulder, “you are a troublemaker, Stark”
Standing themselves back up, Howard shot her a cocky smirk as he spun her outwards, and twirled her back in so her back was against his chest, “Just following orders, darling” he murdered against her ear.
She could see how tightly Bucky was gripping his glass, and the twitch in his jaw showed her just how perfectly she’d gotten to him. The sparkle in his normally bright blue eyes has dimmed, dark, making him almost more attractive in the low lights of her bar. Feeling confident, Catherine shot him a grin before turning herself around to finish her dance with Howard, still feeling his eyes on the back of her neck.
"If I would've known," Howard started, distracting her from her victorious emotion as she met his smirk with a brow raised in question.
"I wouldn't have approached you, Darling Cathy. Not with a man's heart set on you so strongly."
She shrugged, her eyes meeting the man in question as Howard twirled them around one last time.
"He's just having fun, Howard." Catherine told him, trying to burn that truth into her mind and heart.
"Maybe so, but.." they stopped dancing as the song ended. "If looks could kill, I'd be six feet under."
He left her with those words kissed on her cheek and a wink before bowing out.
Catherine gave Howard an incredulous look as he sauntered back to the bar, chugging down the rest of his drink before placing the glass back on the counter wrong side up.
His trademark resignation that told Catherine he was calling it quits for the night. She quickly made her way behind the counter, tallying an entire nights worth of drinks before leaning against the bar with a smirk to hand him the bill.
All the while Bucky was glaring into his own drink, jaw tight, cheekbones so defined you could cut yourself on them.
"Whoa Nelly, do I really drink that much?" Howard chuckled eyeing his tab.
“Consistently surprising,” Catherine shook her head gently. “Barnes, if you hold that glass any tighter its liable to break.”
Bucky set the glass on the counter, a playful smirk returning to his face as he collected himself back into the flirty playboy. “It’s not the glass I wanna break sugar,” he winked a crystal blue eye at her.
“Buck,” Steve slid nervously up next to his friend. “We should go it’s getting late,” he said without looking over at Catherine.
“You go on ahead, I’m going to make sure none of these hounds bother Catherine as she’s closing up.” Bucky said quietly as his eyes flickered over to where Stark fished money from his wallet.
“You are a hound Bucky Barnes,” Catherine said with a smirk but she quietly appreciated the gentlemanly gesture.
Wiggling her fingers and crinkling her nose at Steve as he left, Catherine collected Howard’s cash and rang up the bill.
“Hey Howie, you’ve given me $5 too much,” she said, turning back around.
Howard already had his coat slung over his arm and he looked back over his shoulder, tilling his hat in her direction
“Worth every cent Sweetheart. See you soon.”
Catherine shook her head, both irritated and grateful for the ridiculously large tip. She slid the money away into the till behind the counter, jumping when she looked up to find Bucky standing directly in front of her on the other side of the bar.
"Christ, Barnes, don't scare me like that!" She chided, taking money from another patron as they left the bar. Other customers were slowly trickling out as the closing hour ticked closer.
"Sorry, doll," He smiled, the gesture softer and sweeter now that Howard had left for the night, "Just wanna make sure none of these buffoons hassle you too much while you close up "
Catherine raised an eyebrow, a hand on her hip as she served Bucky an incredulous glance.
“You know this isn’t my first time closing the bar alone, right?”
“I know that, sweet face, but doesn’t hurt to have a little muscle around.” Catherine chuckled at Bucky calling himself muscle but he continued unfazed. “Who knows what the idiots who hang around this joint’ll try with a gal like you when she’s by herself. So I’m gonna look out for you, like the gentleman I am.”
“God, you’re lucky you’re handsome,” Catherine sighed before throwing a rag in Bucky’s direction. He caught it swiftly, grinning like the cat who got the cream. “If you’re stickin’ around, make yourself useful and wipe down the tables.”
Bucky's tongue swiped along his bottom lip, twisting the rag between his fingers, "So you do think I'm handsome, huh?" He rasped with his lopsided smirk.
"I regretted that the moment it left my mouth," she groaned, rolling her eyes but biting back a smile as she went back to collecting change from the remaining men in the bar.
As she gathered the empty glasses from the bar top, and placed them next to the sink, doing her best to keep up with the flowing of exiting customers, Catherine couldn't stop her eyes from flickering over to where Bucky worked. Wiping the tables and stacking the chairs on top, actually taking the time to care about what she'd asked him to do. It was surprising to her from a man as cocky as Barnes, but still, a small flutter of butterflies sounded through her nerves and she felt herself smiling softly to herself.
"Hey sweet cheeks, one more for the road," Lawrence slurred as he slumped himself in front of the til, pulling Catherine from her thoughts.
"I already rang the bell for last call and you got your drink already." Catherine reminded him, trying to stifle a grimace at the smell of booze on the old coot's breath.
"That! That wasn't a proper last drink." Lawrence cheesed, practically slamming his empty glass onto the bar.
"C'mon one more." He insisted.
"She said no Lancaster." Bucky barked from across the bar.
"You're really getting on my last fuckin' nerve boy." Lawrence growled.
"You know I hear that a lot," Bucky huffed with a smile on his face as he moved toward where Lawrence and Catherine stood.
Lawrence had shifted his body closer to Catherine's and he reeked of a week long bender, shit and cigarettes'. "You best be going before that boy puts you out Lawrence, there'll be no fight in the Diamond."
"This won't be a fight," Lawrence swung at Bucky who stepped out of the way short of taking the lazy fist to the jaw and let gravity do the work. The drunkard hit the ground hard, a twisted mix of booze and untied shoelaces created the perfect imbalance. He had knocked himself out.
"That was pretty impressive if I do say so myself," Bucky smiled and his nose scrunched up all cute making Catherine smile back at him.
"Well now I got a big drunk sleeping man in the middle of the bar," Catherine pouted, waving her rag at him before putting her hand on her hip.
“And there I was hoping’ to show off some of my skills,” Bucky sighed dramatically. “I got the boxin’ trophies to prove it.”
“Oh yeah?” Catherine raised her eyebrow. “Featherweight?”
“Hey!” He complained. “Welterweight actually,” he finished with a grumble, a pout forming on his face.
“Alright Champ, why don’t you put those muscles to good use and get that drunk outside?” Catherine laughed, nudging the prone man with her toe.
Bucky grinned, leaned down and grabbed the fellow by the arms. Catherine busied herself the the remaining clean up, but subtly watched him as he dragged the drunk across the floor and out the door.
She had to give him credit, he was stronger than he looked, even managing to heft Lawrence a little over the frame of the doorway so he didn't get jostled too roughly. She wouldn't have given him that much grace if she'd been doing it herself.
For all his cheekiness and cockiness, the small show of compassion told Catherine a lot about Bucky. The soft spot she had for him grew a little bigger.
When he reappeared, he wiped his brow dramatically before dusting off his hands.
“That’s the trash taken care of, you need me to do anythin’ else, doll?”
Catherine giggled, stepping out from behind the bar with a broom in her hand, watching as Bucky tucked the rag into his back pocket and rolled up his shirt sleeves.
“If you don’t wanna dance, you don’t gotta palm off your stand in to me as a consolation prize,” he joked, “I’m a big boy.”
He took the broom regardless, sweeping over to the jukebox and popping a dime into the slot before selecting a song. As the first notes of the song started, he bowed to the broom like a prince to a princess and then begun twirling it around the floor.
She watched him twirling the broom around the floor, and couldn't stop the genuine laugh that bubbled out of her chest as she rolled her eyes. Catherine attempted to turn her attention back to the pile of glasses that needed washing, but her eyes only wanted to focus on the goofy man dancing with a room.
Bucky dipped the broom towards the ground and acted out brushing it's hair away from it's face, "you look so beautiful tonight," he complimented, standing back up and humming the song as he moved closer to where Catherine worked.
"You really are a match maker, Cat, I think me and this lovely lady are getting on swell," he smirked.
"Will you cut it out?" she chuckled, "I think your spreading the dirt more around the floor instead of actually sweeping it up"
"I'm just trying to enjoy the night doll." Bucky grinned, his blue eyes sparkling as he made an actual attempt to sweep.
Catherine rolled her eyes at him, getting started on piling all the dirty glasses into the sink full of warm, soapy water.
"You know, I wouldn't have to dance with a broom if a certain dame would just take a chance on me." Bucky teased.
“Ain’t no dames here now Buck, the bar’s closed,” Catherine stated, knowing full well what he meant but she did so delight in frustrating him.
He sighed and put his hands on the top of the broom, resting his chin on them and stared dreamily at her.
“You got that right. All I see is a beautiful woman,” he said.
Catherine rolled her eyes, but she still felt the heat on her face as she blushed. "I hope that doesn't work on all the other girls you chase," she leaned into cleaning the bartop, trying to avoid the dreamy gaze he was giving her. It was doing things to her that she wasn't sure she wanted to admit to.
"Who says I'm chasing anyone else, doll?"
She let a laugh bubble up from her throat, "Oh c'mon Buck, I wasn't born yesterday," she smiled, biting her bottom lip, "I've heard the stories."
Bucky raised a brow, standing up straight with a grin, slowly striding towards her until he reached the bar, setting the broom against the wooden bartop. "And what stories are those darlin'?"
Catherine felt the blush creep up her neck again with the low tone of his voice, "Well you know..." her voice trailed off when her eyes met his. The blue in them popped underneath the dim lights making her chest fill with butterflies, "you know what, forget I said anything." She smiled, folding the rag in between her fingers.
“No, no. Sweetheart, if some schmuck has been spreadin’ rumours about me, puttin’ ideas in your head, I wanna know… what am I? Brooklyn’s answer to Casanova or somethin’?”
Catherine huffed out a breath, and it hitched as Bucky’s palm brushed over her arm, fingers squeezing ever so gently at her bicep.
“Somethin’ like that,” she replied, soft and quiet, unable to meet his eye with him suddenly being so close.
“Then you gotta know, Catherine, I’ve only had my eye on one woman for a while now. About yay high,” he held his hand up to the top of her head, “red hair, breathtakin’ smile and the prettiest eyes I’ve ever seen.”
Damn this boy had a way with his words. No wonder he had a small fan club of girls that waited on him most nights. She had to admit though, despite their best efforts, when she was working, she only ever saw Bucky dismiss them. Usually in a sweet flirty way that always made them come back to try again but there was still a pang of doubt deep in her mind.
Catherine chewed on the inside of her cheek, as she aimlessly moved her cloth over the bartop, trying to busy herself and distract from the warm feeling he was making creep through her veins. She almost didn't notice when he glided away back to the jukebox and popped in another dime.
Secret Love by Doris Day sounded out through the bar, and Bucky waltzed back over to her with his signature goofy grin. He reached his hand up and gently swept a stray piece of hair behind her ear.
"Come on doll, they're playing our song," he whispered with a soft smile, tilting his head to the side as his blue eyes traced the features of her face.
Catherine felt goosebumps prickle to the surface where his hand had grazed her skin. Bucky stepped back and offered her his hand, bowing slightly.
“May I have this dance?” His voice was an octave lower than usual. She rolled her eyes and smiled as she took his hand.
“I guess it’s the least I can do since you helped clean up,” she laughed.
This was the closest they had ever been- his hands on her waist, her arms wrapped around his neck. The song echoed through the empty bar as Catherine became acutely aware of how alone they truly were. This was one of her favorites. She always watched couples slow dance to this, dreaming of a handsome fella to sweep her off her feet.
Once I had a secret love
That lived within the heart of me,
All too soon, my secret love,
Became impatient to be free.
Catherine smirked up at him through her lashes. Maybe Bucky was the handsome fella all along. “Our song, huh?”
She meant to sound confident, but her voice was barely above a whisper. Her cheeks burned. Bucky just smiled down at her, continuing to sway with the music.
Their eyes were locked as they slowly stepped side to side. Bucky’s goofy grin returned for a split second before he suddenly spun Catherine around and dipped her. She giggled and let out a small howl before he set her upright, still smiling like she hung the moon and the stars.
He cleared his throat and placed his hands back at her waist. “You got it all wrong, kitty. You think I come in, night after night, looking for love.” He paused, his fingers tracing light circles on the sides of her waist.
“I come in here every night because I already found it.”
He sounded so sincere. Her heart was pounding and she was almost certain he could feel it hammering away. Her locked with his, finding nothing but pure blue waters pulling her in closer.
Doris was fittingly still crooning about love:
Now I shout it from the highest hills
Even told the golden daffodils
At last my heart's an open door
And my secret love's no secret anymore
She could feel his hands on her waist tighten their grip just a fraction, as if he was resisting to pull her in. Her body unconsciously was gravitating to his and she noticed his eyes flicker down to her lips, making her wet them in dazed anticipation.
"Catherine?"
He leaned in closer, breath fanning over her face.
"Yes?"
Her voice was trembling, afraid of the unspoken. His nose brushed hers and the breath caught in her throat.
"Would you let me love you?"
His lips were so close, her body was humming even though they were standing still now.
Catherine felt her whole body flush as her eyes fell to his lips, they looked lush and oh so tempting, so much so that she found herself wondering what it'd be like to have them pressed to hers.
Bucky seemed to be musing about the same thing, his own eyes locked on her mouth but instead of being the bold dashing hero he'd been earlier the evening, he bit back a smile and ran his tongue across his lips.
The action made Catherine weak in the knees, for the first time ever, she felt herself turn as red as a tomato and stance falter but Bucky held her closer, keeping her on her feet.
"Whatcha blushin' for sweetheart?" Bucky smiled with a shit eating grin
Bucky’s thumb drew circles at her waist, the feel of his soothing touch against the soft fabric of her dress practically set her body ablaze.
“I’m n-,” Her breath’s grew quicker as he tilted his head, closing the distance between their faces just a touch. The hand that held her own squeezed lightly, calling to her and she drew her eyes back up to his sea of blue.
The look in his eyes was so tender she felt her heart squeeze in her chest as she played back his words in her head and the feel of their bodies moving to the music as one.
“Cat, I’m not going to pressure you,” his voice low and his words genuine. “If you say no I’ll leave ya alone, never walk back in here. But I would love the chance to show you how I really feel about ya dollface.”
“You better not go anywhere,” she countered softly. She glanced at his lips once more before lifting one hand to cup his cheek.
“I better be seeing you every night if you’re serious, Bucky.”
"I couldn't be more," Bucky promised, not only with his words, but his hands and his eyes and Catherine might have been a fool but she believed him. She closed her eyes as one final promise crashed into her, their lips colliding and Bucky showing her just how much he meant his words. It was sweet and slow, their mouths working in tandem as the world slowed down around them.
The music seemed to muffle and the lights were hazy in her vision when she finally opened her eyes again. His hand still on her back moved higher as he urged her closer to his chest. "You taste like whiskey," she licked her bottom lip.
Bucky's hooded eyes flickered to the motion and he leaned forward, his body wanting more, "you taste like the feeling that the stars I can only see outside the city give me," he focused his glare away from her lips. "Wanderlust and longing."
"You're chasing something Buck," Catherine whispered, taken aback by his intensity. "I'm afraid it's something bigger than the two of us."
"You're wrong sugar," Bucky dipped down, kissing her top lip and brushing their noses together. "Ain't nothing ever gonna be bigger than us."
“When you talk all sweet like that a girl might just start believin’ you,” she murmured, sliding her hand up over his shoulder to play with the hairs at the back of his neck.
“Don’t need to talk sweet when it’s the truth Cat,” he insisted, his lips still so close to hers.
Catherine tried to reply but her brain couldn’t seem to form words. Flexing her fingers against his neck she pulled him closer, the need to feel his kiss again overriding any other thought.
This time the kiss was softer, filled with the promises Bucky seemed to be offering her. Catherine closed her eyes, trying to memorize the feel of his plush lips against hers, the way his hold on her told her how much he was appreciating the moment.
"Hmm," She sighed when they parted again.
"Give me a chance, sweet Cat," He whispered as the music faded and ended.
She opened her eyes again, looking up into his as he continued, "I'll be yours every night till the end of time. Starting now. Lemme walk you home?"
Catherine laughed softly, brushing her hands over his shoulders and down his chest. Her fingers wrapped around the lapels of his jacket giving them a gentle tug. "If you thought you were leavin' here without walking me home Barnes,'' her voice trailed into a whisper lifting her heels off the ground onto the tips of her toes, meeting his lips once more, "you were sorely mistaken." She cooed against his lips.
She released him as he let out a low groan, "let's start with one night?" A smile spread across her lips, "and just let the rest follow."
Bucky gave her an enthusiastic nod making her giggle. "I promise I'll be so good to you doll," he said in between peppering her cheeks and nose with soft kisses.
“I don't doubt that one minute. But maybe I want you to be bad too?" Catherine let her tongue guide over her bottom lips reminiscing the warm and spice taste of his. She watched his mesmerizing blue eyes darken, molten lava flowed through her body as her brain flooded with indecent thought.
"I can be as bad as you want, goddess."
“I don’t doubt it, honey,” she replied, trying to keep her voice even despite the way her heart was pounding and her skin flushed pink. “How about you walk me home first and then maybe you can make good on that?”
Bucky groaned, surging forward to kiss her again — a little haphazard, lips eager.
She managed to pry herself away long enough to collect her things, Bucky waiting by the door until she was ready to lock up and head out.
The walk home would usually take Catherine twenty minutes, only a few blocks, but with Bucky, time slowed. Soft whispers in the night, warm mouths on ears and cheeks, the man took every opportunity to pull her into a shadowed alcove. Pressing her against the brick, he claimed her mouth and sent her skin tingling with delicately wandering hands, never any lower or higher than her waist. And every time the kisses got a little hungrier, every time the simmer of want in Catherine’s belly bubbled away just a little more.
It’s a wonder they finally made it to her door at all.
Bucky's arms found their way around her waist pulling her close to his body as he pressed her against her blue wooden apartment door. The heat under her skin ignited with every touch of his soft hands against her, and every thought in her mind melted away. All that was left was him. And everything she wanted him to do to her.
"Bucky," Catherine mumbled against his lips with a smile, fumbling to find her keys, "We can't do this in the hallway," she giggled.
Bucky hummed, trailing his lips across her jaw and down her neck, "I disagree," he teased.
With an echo of laughter, Catherine placed her hand on his chest and pushed him lightly backwards, spinning around to unlock the door. As she did, Bucky pressed himself back into her, winding his arms back around her waist and pulling her ear lobe between his teeth.
"Barnes," Catherine tried her best to sound stern but his name ended up dripping from her mouth in a whine as her head fell backwards to meet his shoulder.
“I thought you wanted me to be bad, sugar,” he cooed against her ear.
Goosebumps graced the back of her neck. Before she could help herself, Catherine’s lower back arched against Bucky’s solid frame. He groaned as they held that position for a split second. He didn’t push forward against her, simply tightened his grip around her waist with the slightest pressure. Then he stepped back, giving her space to open the door.
She stole a glance behind her to see his eyes were lowered. This sweet boy would be the death of her.
“I hope that was okay,” he said softly, reaching his hand out to gently smooth the fabric of her skirt against her waist. Her heart lept to her throat as she fumbled with the keys. The lock finally cooperated with her and Catherine shoved the door open with a huff. She spun and gently pressed her lips against his. They melted. A stark contrast to lust and passion the moment prior.
“And I hope there’s more where that came from,” she sang, stepping backwards into her apartment. Bucky’s Adam’s apple bobbed in his throat as he looked her up and down. She unfastened the back of one of her work heels and kicked them off. Confidence bloomed in her lower belly.
“C’mon, be a good boy and help me get comfortable." The words flowed like honey as she slowly beckoned him with her pointer finger.
Bucky stepped up to her and placed both hands on her waist. “I can do that,” he purred.
He trailed his fingers along her waist and up her sides. “Do you want help with the zipper?”
“If you’re offerin’,” she breathed, feeling his hands slide around her waist as she turned in his arms.
His hands squeezed gently at her waist before deft fingers moved up to grip the zipper pull, moving downwards at a tantalisingly slow pace. For every inch of skin he revealed he pressed a hot kiss to the back of her neck until the zipper stopped. Trailing his fingers gently up her spine and across her shoulders he leaned forwards and whispered softly in her ear.
“Can I take this off Sweetheart?”
Her entire body flushed with heat, feeling his warm breath against the shell of her ear, followed by the gentle touch of his lips. Her knees knocked together as his lips moved from her ear to her neck, his fingers pushing back the hair draped over her shoulder. "Words, sweetheart." he murmured against her skin when she forgot to answer.
"Yes," she breathed, "god yes."
Bucky chucked, his hands slipping under the collar of her dress, letting it fall from her body and pool around her feet. She heard him hiss gently and his body heat disappear as he stepped back from her. Catherine looked over her shoulder, her bottom lip between her teeth as she watched his gaze drag over her curves. "You're more beautiful than I have imagined."
"You sure know how to sweet talk a girl, Barnes." her breath hitched as he traced her collarbone.
"I can think of a few more things I can do with my mouth, love."
"Why don't you show me then?" Catherine teased him under hushed breaths. Slowly his fingers started the slow torturous journey of exploding every inch of her heated skin.
Catherine gasped out a breath as Bucky teased the lacy edges of her underwear, and she caught his hand in hers before he could go any further, leading him to the bed.
“Takin’ me to your boudoir, I see,” Bucky grinned, kissing her through his cheeky smile as she rolled her eyes in response.
“On your knees, hot shot,” she whispered against his lips, perching herself on the edge of the bed as Bucky lowered to the floor with a thud.
Catherine watched as Bucky’s palms skimmed over her stockings, long fingers unclipping them from her garter belt with quick and practiced ease.
“Look at you,” Bucky breathed, peering up at her through thick lashes as he lifted her leg and began to roll her stocking down. His lips followed, hot and wet over her skin and Catherine whined quietly, feeling exposed and empowered all at once.
Bucky took his time, painfully inching the stockings down her legs, his lips on her skin placing soft butterfly kisses on her knees while he took one of her feet at a time into his large hands.
He rolled the stockings over her ankles, warm wet lips leaving a trail down her calves and setting Catherine aflame. It was almost incomprehensible how much she needed him, she could feel her core aching, as he took his sweet time until finally he tossed the stockings behind him.
Those blue eyes were as vast as the ocean as they looked up at her from where Bucky kneeled in front of her on the floor, his finger tips running up the sides of her legs, over her hips and to her waist where they played with the hem of her undergarments.
"Can I take these off sweetheart?" Bucky asked, voice husky and strained with want.
Catherine gasped, her breath hitching at his touch. Silently she laid back onto the bed, her hair splaying out around her as she started up at Bucky above her.
Slowly, Bucky took his time, inching the clothing downward with her help as she lifted her hips.
He made his way back up, hands warm on her skin as they slid around to unfasten the back of her garter belt.
Which didn’t come off.
He tried again and then swore quietly under his breath as Catherine let out a soft giggle.
“Need a little help there Ace?” She chuckled but her expression was tender as he frowned up at her.
“Not usually,” he grumbled, a flush blooming across his cheeks.
“Just like the clips on a brassiere Buck, I’m sure you got this.,” she said, leaning down and planting a gentle kiss against his mouth.
The distraction was just what he needed as the clips sprung free and Catherine’s garter belt peeled easily away from her waist.
Catherine watched as Bucky took a moment for himself, breath hitching as he eyed her unclothed and most intimate part of her for the first time. His eyes scanned her hungrily, before making eye contact with her with the most delicious smile plastered across his face.
"Damn darlin', I think I just went to heaven." Bucky chuckled, leaning in closely and planting a kiss of Catherine's navel before slowly making his way south.
Catherine let out a breathy gasp, relishing in every wet peck to her skin, obliging when he gently pushed her knees apart until at last he was face-to-face with that sweet spot between her legs.
Bucky dipped his head as he ran his hands along her inner thighs, as she moaned above him. “I haven’t even started yet,” he chided playfully before slowly licking a long stripe between her folds, making her melt against the bed.
“So sweet,” he purred, moving to grip her hips to lick and suck at her delicate skin.
Catherine gasped in a breath, her hands gripping at her sheets as he lapped his tongue against her entrance, his hands kneading the soft skin of her hips and belly.
“Damn,” she whispered as her head lolled backwards and she became lost in sensation.
She looked down and caught his gaze, his eyes twinkling with devilish intent, and her back arched with pleasure as he closed his lips around her clit and teased it with the tip of his tongue.
Catherine pushed herself up on her elbows, watching as he eagerly went to town. Every once in a while, his eyes would flick upwards, twinkling with delight as he checked in with her. She had no intention of stopping him though.
Bucky Barnes had a reputation for a reason, it seemed, and Catherine was more than happy to reap the benefits of that for herself.
When he finally sank his fingers into her, Catherine couldn't hold herself up anymore. A shudder rippled over her, her arms giving out as she whined, "Oh! Oh god! Bucky!"
For a moment, Bucky pulled his mouth away from her, and as she whimpered at the loss of his tongue, he smirked. "No God, doll. Just me."
Catherine couldn't help herself, she twisted her fingers in his hair and pushed him back into her folds. The way he chuckled while his tongue flicked wildly over the sensitive nub made her let out a groan that seemed to echo off the walls.
It was ridiculous how soaked she was, Bucky's finger slipping in and out of her effortlessly. When he added a second, the stretch was divine and it took everything in her not to beg for a third. She so desperately needed a third, to feel full and grind down on his fingers and tongue until she nose-dived into oblivion.
Bucky had his own ideas though, he was taking things slow, going at a grueling pace that had Catherine huffing and panting, ready to beg for more.
“Bucky,” she panted, lifting her hips towards his face. “Please…”
He lifted his head slightly and licked his lips, relishing in watching her fall apart. “Please what?”
“I need…more. I need you!” Catherine gasped, the hand in his hair stroking down to cup his cheek.
“Sugar, you have no idea how long I’ve been wantin’ to hear you say that,” he grinned, drawing teasing circles around her clit with his thumb.
“Just…please Bucky!” She groaned desperately, shifting on the bed, trying to feel as much of him as she could.
Bucky chuckled, Catherine could have sworn she could see a flash of nervousness in his eyes before he dragged his tongue across her cunt one last time. He slowly pulled his fingers from her, then leaned on the bedside, licking them off while he watched her.
"Get up here," Catherine pleaded, reaching for his shirt to pull him forward, and then huffed when she realized how much more clothing he had on than her.
He smirked, "Slow down a bit, doll. We got all night."
He helped her unbutton his shirt before tossing it to the floor. Bucky sat on the edge of the bed and kissed her knee, able to see how frustrated she was becoming. "Catherine, it's alright. I plan on taking my time tonight. I've been waiting for you for ages, sweetheart. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon."
"You mean that?" she asked.
"Yes," he nodded, then turned to unlace his boots and remove them before crawling on the bed. Bucky hissed as Catherine ran her hand beneath his tank top, gently running her nails along his skin.
She pulled gently, releasing the white cotton from the waistband of his pants and drew the tank top up over his chest. He laughed when she nuzzled her nose into the scattering of dark hairs she found there, a rich deep sound she wanted to hear more of.
When he lifted the top over his head her lips found his again and she moaned into his mouth as their tongues moved against each other.
Bucky’s hand slid down her back, making easier work of her brassiere than he had of her garter belt and then she was completely bare before him. Pulling back from their kiss he stared at her, a look akin to awe in his eyes and he drew a hand down his face.
"Wow," He breathed out, swallowing slowly before he met her gaze again.
"I was wrong, you're the stars and more."
Catherine let out a small laugh, hooking her fingers into the waistband of his pants to pull him closer again, "Come on Casanova," she tugged at the button, unhooking it and helping him shuffle out of the garment that was in the way of what she wanted.
Bucky blushed as he helped her remove his pants before he laid beside her in just his briefs. He watched as her eyes trailed slowly up and down his body as if she were trying to save it in her memories. "Tell me something..." Bucky said softly. "You've been playing coy with me for a good while now. How long have you actually been sweet on me?"
"At first," Catherine rolled toward him, kissing his bicep and then his chest, working her way across his warm skin until she was straddling him and her lips were buried at the base of his neck. "I wasn't," she admitted, feeling his fingers slowly trickle up her thighs in response. "At first, I wanted nothing more than your cheeky smile out of the Diamond but after a time I looked forward to seeing those eyes watching me from across the bar. After a time, I expected them."
"Then why deny me?" He asked in a whispery voice.
"Perhaps I was afraid that if I accepted all your proposals you'd get bored of me." She kissed him, dragging her teeth over his bottom lip as she pushed back against the hardened length that tented from his briefs. "Perhaps I just liked the flirting," she giggled, feeling his shaky grip tighten. "It will make tonight that much sweeter," she kissed him again.
“Ain’t nothin’ sweeter than you Cat,” he murmured against her lips, letting out a groan as she ground her hips against him once more.
Relishing his reaction she continued sliding herself against his clothed cock, his hands on her hips encouraging her. Their kisses were punctuated with breathy moans as they moved together but when Catherine slid her hand down and tugged at the waistband of Bucky’s boxers she felt him falter.
Pulling away from him slightly she looked at him with concern.
“You ok there Buck?” She asked, but his face flushed with more than arousal.
He bit his lower lip nervously, "Sure. Everything's just fine."
Catherine frowned, sensing that he wasn't being entirely truthful and he huffed.
"Ah, fine! I'm, uh, not exactly experienced, if ya get what I'm saying?"
Catherine's eyebrows shot up in surprise, "What?!"
"I... I..." Bucky blushed a bright red and covered his face with one hand as he sighed. "I'm sorry Catherine," he murmured. "I should have told you."
“Ain’t nothing baby,” she cooed, “I’ve never experienced you,” she smiled and gave him a small kiss of reassurance. “There’s a first for everything,” Catherine ran a hand through his hair and kissed him gently. “Nice and slow,” she positioned him at her entrance with her other hand.
Naturally Bucky lifted to meet her and sunk slowly between her wetness, driving upward and dragging a soft moan from her lips.
“Does it hurt?” He asked, slowing his entry.
“No,” she said, pulling back from the kiss she was leaving on his chest. “It feels like heaven,” she gasped as he stretched her tightly and finished his thrust.
They stayed like that for a moment and Catherine’s heart stuttered at the look on his face, as if she’d hung the moon.
“Can I move?” She whispered.
“God, please!” He nodded, letting out a whimper as she began to rock her pelvis against his once more.
As Catherine began to ride him, Bucky gasped. He groaned, his grip tightening on her hips, meeting her thrust for thrust. "So good, baby..."
“Feels good don’t it?” Catherine huffed as Bucky began more confident. “Atta boy,” she cooed to him as his thrusts became well timed and hungry.
Every inch of him rubbed all the spots just right and sent stars bursting through her vision as she braced herself and rolled back into his rocking.
One of his hands trailed up her body, palming her breast and teasing her peaked nipple between his fingers.
“Yeah, like that,” she moaned, throwing her head back at the sensation.
He seemed to have found his stride now, and his confidence, as he slid his other hand off her hip and around to her pussy, circling her sensitive clit with his thumb.
Catherine's resounding moan filled the room. "Yes," he praised. "You look so pretty, sweetheart."
“Keep talking sugar,” she praised as the two of them connected on a level that she didn’t even believe was possible.
Every inch of her body burned with pleasure as Bucky hit every nerve within her. “I’m close,” Bucky moaned, his words strangled and tight.
“Hold on baby, I’m right there with you,” Catherine gasped.
Bucky dug his heels into the bed to give him more leverage as he thrust up into her, his rhythm becoming more erratic as he tried to hold off his release.
Catherine leaned forwards and slipped a hand round the back of his neck, pulling him up to meet her halfway and their lips crashed together. Grinding herself even harder against him she finally exploded with pleasure, crying her release into his mouth.
With a low groan, Bucky thrust upward a few more times before coming undone, filling her to the brim. He continued to kiss her slowly as they both rode out their high. He rubbed her back as she pulled away from him slightly. "You're amazing."
“Speak for yourself big boy,” Catherine kissed his jaw line and left a trail of sloppy praising kisses in her wake.
“I’d spend forever learning from you just to be half as good,” he huffed breathlessly.
“Good thing you’re sticking around,” Catherine sighed looking up at him with hopeful eyes.
“You say that like you’re expectin’ me to just disappear. I told you before love, I’m all in.”
“Yeah you were,” Cat smirked and Bucky looked at her a little shocked before laughing and tightening his arms around her.
“You might be right Buck, maybe we do got somethin’ here,” Cat hummed, her fingers tracing idly over his chest.
“I know we have Darlin’, and I’m gonna spend every day provin’ it to ya,” he murmured, pressing a kiss to her forehead as they settled in the gentle warmth of each other’s arms.
