"Shut up!" you shouted, hitting him in the chest. He took a step back, but his back was against the wall of the cubicle, and there was no room to retreat. "Don't tell me you love me!" You pushed him again, feeling tears burning your eyes, but you didn't let them fall. "It's a lie... a lie! Someone who loves me wouldn't be sitting in a club with some slut, whispering in her ear!"
You moved closer to him, shouting right in his face, so close that you could see his piercing glistening in the dim light of the lamp above your heads. His scent — a mixture of expensive cologne and something sharp, like adrenaline — hit your nose, and it only added fuel to the fire of your anger.
"I love you, that's why I'm sitting here with this slut so they won't find you," Jungkook hissed, leaning toward you so that his breath burned your skin. His voice was low, tense, but there was a sincerity in it that made you freeze for a moment.
"What?" you grimaced, anger drowning out any common sense. "You disappeared. Again. I was going crazy looking for you, and then I find out you're hanging out here with some girl, hugging her, whispering something to her, as if I don't exist! Do you have any conscience at all?"
Your hand flew up, and you hit him in the chest again, but Jungkook grabbed your wrists, firmly but not painfully, pressing them against the wall above your head.
"Listen to me," he said, his voice sharp but tinged with despair. "You don't understand. I didn't disappear because I wanted to. I'm doing this to protect you. And our child."
You froze, his words hitting you like bullets.
"Protect?" you almost spat out the word. "You left me pregnant, Jungkook! You disappeared without a word, and now I see you here with some girl who's clinging to you like you're her property! And you call that protection?"
He squeezed your wrists tighter, his eyes blazing, but there was something else in them too — pain that he was trying to hide.
"I'm doing this because someone found out about you. Someone who shouldn't have. And if they think I'm with someone else, that you're nothing to me, they'll leave you alone. I'm trying to keep you safe, baby. I can't let them get to you. To our child."
You looked at him, feeling anger mixed with confusion. His words sounded sincere, but they didn't ease the pain that was tearing you apart inside.
"You're lying," you said, your voice trembling. "You always lie. You disappear, you come back, you promise you'll stay, and then you run away again. And now I'm supposed to believe that you're with this girl to protect me? Do you think I'm stupid?"
Jungkook abruptly let go of your wrists, but he didn't back away. His hands dropped to your waist and he pressed you against the wall, his face so close that you could feel the warmth of his breath.
You opened your mouth to shout something else, but he didn't let you. His lips pressed against yours, greedily, desperately, as if he were trying to drown out your anger, your pain, everything that stood between you. You pushed him away, trying to pull away, but his arms held you tight, and the kiss became more insistent.
"No, Jungkook, stop!" you muttered between his lips, but he didn't listen. His hands slid down your buttocks, pulling you closer, and his tongue entered your mouth, causing your body to respond treacherously.
You pushed him away again, but more weakly, feeling your anger give way to something else — that familiar heat he always aroused in you. His hands squeeze your buttocks, his lips moved along your neck, leaving hot marks.
"I love you," he whispered, his voice hoarse, almost pleading. "Believe me. I'm doing this for you."
You froze, your hands, which had just been pushing him away, now clutching his shirt. You hated yourself for it, but your anger dissolved in his touch, in his kisses, in his scent. You responded to the kiss, greedily, with all the rage and love that fought within you.
