Penmanship Smitten by HeyLookTheSnitch
Author’s Summary: There were four things that I was incredibly certain of— 1. Prongs was a troublemaker. 2. He very well could be lying and really was a female. 3. I had no clue who he was. 4. I one hundred percent fancied the pants off the bloke.

A James and Lily Compendium Notes: This is the only Jily fic I’ve ever come across that portrays Lily in an unobservant/oblivious way that doesn’t actually make me frustrated or dislike her characterisation. Adored some of the concepts in this.

Fifteen minutes in to the movie and I am sold.
The characters kept on saying the right things and being in situations I could imagine myself living as well. There are tons of lines I could definitely use and could teach me how to survive this world.
I love everything about it. I would not change anything, especially the ending. It is just too perfect. I mean, that’s reality, you know? That’s the ending we never got to see much often but it’s real and it does happen. There is a huge chance we may never end up with our “perfect” love and I believe that it is only considered perfect because they did not end up together.
Initially, the idea of seeing someone the first time and feeling that strong connection, like what Arielle felt, seems a bit over dramatic to me. But then, I realized that maybe that kind of connection does really exist. It’s just that, I happen not to experience it yet. The possibilities in the world are endless, limitless, just like how love can manifest and transcend it’s way from the abstract to the people.
The last line sealed it for me. It fits perfectly on the way the movie carved my emotions and built a permanent space inside me. I do believe that there are materials we would come across in our lives that would change us in a drastic way whether we like it or not. I came across a few of mine and it felt amazing. The feeling of having read, heard, watched something that you think is made solely for you is like life’s another way of reshaping our minds. It is an opportunity to redefine the things we deem as important, the beliefs we subscribe to, and the things we live by.
Life is a collection of moments. The idea is to have as many good ones as you can.

Tonight I watched a movie that has inspired me to start writing again. I can’t remember exactly when it was that I stopped writing, but its something that I have tried to start over and over again in vain. This time I need it to stick. Tonight I watched a movie that made me feel all of the emotions a movie should. I felt outrageous, I laughed at the most moments that are so funny purely because they are the complete opposite of what should be happening in a moment. I felt giddy in the moments that you saw adoration turn into love. I didn’t cry for my characters, but when the movie came to an end I just sat in silence and reflected on the last hour and thirty minutes. I questioned myself, the lead character in my own life, whether I would make the same choices.
“But what if the love of your life already had another life? What would you sacrifice for that short period of time just to have them in your arms?” I questioned myself, and asked if I want more for myself. The answer is always, yes.
