#6675 Small Pony Barrel Works Bomb The Sun (Canada) This is the first 375ml bottle I’ve ever had from Small Pony, Canada’s premier barrel-aged sour brewery, and I am here for it. Single servings ftw. This glorious gem of a beer is a 4.5% blend of sour rye and buckwheat beers aged in oak barrels with hops and apricots. It pours slightly opaque with a wicked bubbly head and a tart nose, the body is clean and crisp, there’s funky apricot vibes up front which I love, it’s hella tangy, the Ekuanot and Idaho 7 deliver some tropical peachy notes, there’s none of that enamel erasing tartness here, it’s a pleasure to drink, wrapping in a dusty, clean finish.
