Day Twenty Six: Love. About six years ago I went to see an amazing Palm Reader. I had gone to her several times over the years and she had amazed me with her accuracy-things that had already happened, events that occurred shortly after we spoke, and a few things about my life in the present. That particular Summer I had just begun dating someone new and my hopes were high. But when our session began, she stopped and shook her head. "He's not the one. I think your ready to hear this....." And she began to describe someone else entirely. Despite internally disagreeing with her and making my best efforts to maintain my relationship, it was over just a few months later. Naturally, my mind came back to the dark haired stranger she had told me about. Her description of him had been so specific-(physical characteristics, disposition and interests. She had even stated the time of year and circumstances) that when I did actually meet him I was in shock. Love more then any other emotion opens us up to magic, to the intangibles of life. When I first really began reading Tarot for myself it was to find this so called "long dark haired biker." There was such a feeling of undefinable purpose and urgency around those readings that I have yet to experience since. That Palm Reader may have given me the map, but with the guidance of Tarot and some wonderful energy from the universe I met and married the person I can no longer imagine my life without-my King of Coins.
