Weekly Language Learning Goals - Week Eight: Scaling Back
New #blog post: Weekly Language Learning Goals - Week Eight: Scaling Back (i.e. I have to go back to work now boo) #languagelearning
Hey everyone! So I’m currently at the end of a nice (well-deserved, if I do say so myself!) long week off work—and though I didn’t hit all of my goals this past week, I did manage some, as well as giving myself some time to relax.
Although I had a productive week and all, I still need to look into scaling those goals back a little more this week. I’m going back to work and there are lots of…

New #blog post: Weekly Language Learning Goals: Week Seven - Back on Track! #languagelearning Hi, all! It's been a couple of weeks since I've been back here, though I've been posting my goals still over on…
The next 6 Week Challenge starts February 1st. I’m trying to decide what language I want to do. Can you learn a language to an intermediate level in six weeks? If I can stick with it, I kinda want to make a youtube series for the 6wc. I also want to select a new language in the spirit of the challenge. I need to gather resources and decide.
Swedish: This should be an easy language for English speakers to pick up more or less. I’ve been having wanderlust for Swedish lately.
Romanian: I’m learning Spanish and Italian with plans to learn French. I’ve dabbled in French before. Why not add another Romance language to the mix? Romanian would be different enough from Spanish and Italian that it shouldn’t affect my other studies. Plus, Romanian sounds cool.
Hindi: I have a Teach Yourself Hindi book and a bilingual Hindi-English children’s book. I also enjoy Bollywood movies and this would give me an excuse to watch them.
Afrikaans: This should also be easy to pick up given that it is a Germanic language and the grammar shouldn’t be too hard.
Vietnamese: I eventually want to get to this language. I already own a bilingual English-Vietnamese children’s book.
3rd place in Duo Coed for @zoezdenka and I! Always a great event. I won the first lap, too. #6WC #stormracing (at Warrior Creek Campground)
Over halfway through and we're riding strong! #6WC @zoezdenka (at Warrior Creek Campground)
#6WC update: sent @zoezdenka out for our team's second lap in first place. Trails are in good shape and my legs aren't too bad either! (at Warrior Creek Campground)
It's Time to Kickstart Your Language Learning
It's almost May - are you looking for some motivation in your language learning? #challenges #languagelearning #languages
Hey guys! Can you believe it’s almost May already? I thought the earlier months were going by quick, but April seems to have vanished, which means it’s now less than six weeks until I leave Austria, boo! Still, there are some fun things to look forward to: including all the language challenges that are starting tomorrow! Now, I did say the other day that sometimes challenges stress me out, but…
