hi the world is beautiful. maybe
I know Wubble doomsday is a well-worn topic and nobody can predict the future but I was sifting through what Sevens are like when they begin to disintegrate to One and
if the prophecy comes true
well don't leave us hanging, tell us about 'em!
Here she is!! She doesn't have a name, and I probably give her one. She's my (unofficial) agent 7! She wears the neo octoling armour minus the glasses, and has the kelp that elite soldiers have (not pictured for obvious reasons), and uses a custom E-litre 3k scope with Kraken & squid beakon.
After hearing the calamari inkantation during agent 3 vs Octavio, she ran away to escape the military who were rounding up all the "loose ends" caused by the song. Now she works to try and help other cephalopods trapped underground to escape to the surface.

Not sure exactly how to ask this question but I'm going to try anyway so i apologize if this is completely incoherent. So a big part of type 4 is the obsession with identity, because of this 4s will often create a fantasy self image. My question is: does this idealistic version of themselves align with a different personality type (i.e. a 4 that wants to be a 7) and can this get in the way of typing someone accurately? I guess this question also applies to 3s as well in terms of how they may falsely present themselves to others
Makes sense to me, trying to figure out if there’s a type that Fours tend to admire more than others and want to emulate.
I would say that it’s going to depend a lot on what they’ve chosen to personally value—there’s a desire to not just be unique, but to be unique from other Fours as well, so they likely try to fill different niches depending on what they admire and respect. Other than taking cues from other fours in terms of ‘getting’ them, I could see a Four attaching to any of the types depending on what examples they had in their lives/culture. Most people model themselves on other people to at least some degree so it’s probably going to come down to individual people over a given Type.
Fours may attempt imitation in terms of style and some content, but I see it less in traits, if that makes sense. Let’s take the really glaring aesthetic example of going goth, you get the clothes and the music and the subcultural niche, but aside from maybe leaning into some of the pre-existing gloom through the art associated with the scene, the traits of the Four stay intact. They can value the personality traits that other people have and want to embody them, but the underlying Four traits tend to show through even as they’re doing them so it’s not as confusing as it could be. On the other hand, there can also be an envy piece where they get down on themselves for feeling like they lack traits that they admire in others, overlooking some of their own natural strengths instead.
I gave this specific problem a google and found this article—it deals with instinctual subtypes which I haven’t talked about but it also helps tease out a specific Four subtype from a specific Seven subtype, so if that’s been an issue it’s got some questions to help tease out the details.
It's not a cc question so like /nf but I was always typed as 6w5, it was never very relatable but I didn't care enough to do more research. Lately though I started getting interested and realised 7 is way more my style, but I can't really decide which wing, any tips?
I might have made wing sound easy or obvious but honestly figuring out what yours might be 'from the inside' can be disorienting. When I was first trying to figure out my wing I felt like I connected to a little bit of both, but the test said 5w4 so I was like ??? I Guess??? and it wasn't until I had a 5w6 in front of me that I could go "Oh jeez we are very different people."
Figuring out the wings can be a little higher maintenance than figuring out the core type because you need to be familiar with what the two types on either side of you are like as well as what your core type is ‘supposed’ to be like. You’ll hear ‘less’ and ‘more’ a lot, since a lot of these judgements are made by comparison. For example, an Eight wing is more likely to be comfortable getting play-angry- think verbal, mental or physical play-wrestling. Six wings are more likely to get along with people in a more conventional way and want to have roots down with friends to get that good-vibes feedback loop.
Since you tested as a Six, you might have a heavy enough Six wing for a test to pick up, but sometimes tests connect every question about anxiety to a Six result so it may be that instead. If you look up 7w6 and 7w8 respectively, some people write full separate profiles for them, so you can get more of the detail of what will make the two unique.
So since I started as an anon with a bold-ass claim I'll substantiate the 'Sevens are prone to cheating' thing. While it's always more of a guideline than a rule, sevens have a higher possibility of being a flight risk when they're feeling anxious or unstable, and they feel that way more often than you would think. They've got a mind for possibilities, and a fear of being trapped and in pain. This can cause them to get cold feet or even get 'distracted' from a current partner.
They usually:
Like novelty and having new expreinces, exploration
Have a talent for seeking distraction from real or percieved negativity
Are supernaturally charming (by god they've got options)
New Relationship Energy is a real thing, and it's very easy to imagine that it's attractive to someone who is wired this way. Not taking aim at all Sevens because they're capable of being loving and loyal with the best of them, but this is a weakness they're more predisposed to than others.
On an unconcious level this is something that the people around them can be aware of. Sevens are capable of giving absorbed, undivided positive focus on people, which feels amazing to get. The thing is, the looming threat of their attention wandering away to a 'better, more interesting' thing can be an energy in the air, and can make people try harder to be impressive or engaging than they usually would to keep their attention. Sometimes the vague threat of them wandering off can become a serious ongoing self-esteem drain-- I've known some Sevens by the trail of emotional devistation they left behind.
Sevens can be spotlight people, when the light is on you, it's on you-- and when it's not, it's not.
